I'm debating with myself on If using Google ads or Instagram ads a good marketing strategy for independent film ??? I landed my film on Tubi and am wondering if Google ads will help pull in watchers

these guys did it with facebook ads to great effect. Others are doing similar with google and insta. But it's not a magic bullet the ad creative has to be good and land with the audience. Paying just gives you impressions. the ad creative still has to do it's job.
