Such a sad ending for Mr Stanshall. Tremendous talent. Wish you were still here to light up the world

These clips are rough, ragged...invaluable & indispensable for those(like me)who have been fans of the Bonzos recorded output for some 40 yrs., but missed or never had the chance to see them live. Bravo & a big Huzzah! to whoever posted these...

thier style of musical comedy transcends generations and appealed to me from a very young age, thanks for the videos these must be rare not even on their dvd documentary release, absolute genius, favourite album is keynsham because of how strange it is, their most underrated album

I was born...30 years too late...and on the wrong continent. Very sad!
@thomasbell70332 жыл бұрын
Yep, it was only about ten years too late for me (and growing up in Texas), but too late nevertheless. I remember reading about the Bonzos in the music press, but never saw their records in even the hippest shops.

"Fuzzy dice, bongos in the back, my ship of love is ready to attack." It's from Frank Zappa, either Uncle Meat or Cruising with Ruben and the Jets, IIRC. The two bands, the Mothers of Invention and the Bonzos, admired one another.'s work. Not hard to see why, though the Mothers were thoroughly American in influences, and the Bozos so very, very English.

Though incidently the amps are called Electric Aunt Jemima

When They sound like the Mothers They are so Good and funny. However i find them a bit Boring when they sound like Beatles. I think it s a reason of their séparation. The rutles was perfect for That.and again it was humour
