Crank Bait Lesson with Jimmy and Richard Gene

Richard Gene The Fishing Machine has a unique fishing channel. He is just as happy catching Bluegills and catfish as he is catching bass. He doesn’t have a big fancy boat full of electronics with a 250 horsepower motor. Not that there is anything wrong with people who do. However, he makes a good point to not needing one to enjoy fishing. He shows viewers fishing is fun no matter how you do it. He mostly uses tackle older than most of his viewers and seems to catch plenty of fish. He is one those anglers that can catch fish in mud puddle if there is a fish in it. He sells mostly entertainment and promotes fishing with simple basic tackle. That is why; I believe he has so many subscribers. He relates to a much bigger group of anglers not wanting or able to own fancy new rods, reels and boats full of lures. He treats fish with tender loving care when putting them back and enjoys eating a few along the way. He might enjoy teaching fish to swim however, he teaches much more than that. He demonstrates fishing ethics and shows proper catch and release methods most angler’s lack. If he needs to make a little more money he could promote his trademark Red Tennis Shoes. I wouldn’t mind buying some of those boat shoes if he offers some. I been watching him before I started watchin you. He must have left Elmo home because he had so much respect for meeting you.

Richard is a good one for sure. We had a lot Of fun and became good friends. I visited with him today! He just loves to fish and doesn’t really care what he catches as long As he catches something. He used to fish a few tournaments and did pretty well. Thanks, Giz, May God Bless! jimmy

He reminds me so much of my grandpa. My grandpa was always this way. Simple man, always just been a bank fisherman, although we've been out on boats fishing. I was raised catching bluegill; those were the fish we fished for, eventually graduating to catfish. Anything else was extra.

I love the world of KZbin sometimes. The only reason why I know who Richard Gene is is because I saw him in your videos, Jimmy. He's a good ole boy. I have since subscribed to his channel so thank you for that. On a side note, I am a card collector and I bought a bunch of cards from 1990, Big League Bass, and I had two of them graded, Bill Dance's and yours. I have been able to take my kids to a couple of his spots with his techniques and had some great family fun. Genuine and Humble man! I can't say the same about ELMO though! He will put you on some big spots and largemouth. I know you are busy but if you get a chance please let him take you out. It great to see both of you fishing together. I have been a subscriber to Richard's channel ever since he started it and as you already know Richard is one of the finest gentleman you could ever be around.
