Jimmy - Started using Richard’s loop knot on my ice fishing jigs. “Man”. That is the best secret anyone has ever given up. I use it on Vertical and horizontal ice jigs with his loop knot ice fishing picked up in a hurry. That was the best advice I have ever received for ice fishing. Thanks for giving me that final piece of advice for fishing through the ice! 👍👍

I was a HUGE Jimmy Houston fan all of my life until this here video. He fished with my home town buddy Richard Gene and at the end of the video he confessed to being an Oklahoma Sooners fan! I knew something wasn't right about him. Honestly though, I loved Oklahoma and Jimmy Houston..... until OU joined the SEC and, in their inaugural year, proceeded to beat Bama up one side and down the other... and held us to the lowest score we've posted in the past 14 years!!!! Great video . I was in my 1952 Lone Star Boat using using the Albino 2 inch Panfish Assassin with a 1/16 oz jighead . Caught my limit in about 10 minutes. Guys all around me casting with different baits not one bite. Folks it don't matter what kind of boat or pole you use . The bait and area is what matters. God bless !

Hey Jimmy, next time you have one of them Veterans Day of Fishing I would love to be able to come. Live in Alexandria, LA and about 6 hours from you. I’m a 100% Disabled Vietnam Veteran. Spent 10+ years in the Army and after discharge moved to Bonham, TX 10 miles from Oklahoma and about 45 minutes from Durant, OK. I use to fish all the time but my disability got so bad had to give it up. But love it!!! As long as I can sit and fish all is well and would love to come up there and fish with you. Lots of lakes here in Oklahoma, Bill, actually have docks and ramps set up to give handicaps folks a place to fish! Most of the docks are baited and the fishing is pretty good. Probably Google up that info for place near where you live. Thanks. May God Bless! jimmy
