One of the best and most detailed demos that I've ever seen. This pedal is a Swiss army knife of a Rat clone pedal and Don examines every blade! I particularly like the comparison at the end where he plays the same riff and keeps the settings the same while choosing all 9 circuit variations. I especially appreciate that Don shows off the pedal and not how well he can play, unlike many other demos that force us to sit through the host's ego-stroking playing. If I want to see that, I'll go to Guitar Center on a Saturday afternoon.

Great ! maybe Josh can make a BluesBreaker variations one, then maybe a KLON ? LOL
@kylegoodman51963 жыл бұрын
There really aren't any variations on the Klon. Everyone views it as so incredible they don't change it.
@theoo56573 жыл бұрын
i don't think the bluesbreaker and the klon have different versions. I mean, the bluesbreaker was an amp, and years later they turned into a preamp pedal, and the klon the only differences are aesthetically. and also he's already done the morning glory which is bluesbreaker circuit but with his mods.
@kylegoodman51963 жыл бұрын
@@theoo5657 Bluesbreaker you could hypothetically do but idk if the mods to it are as extensive as those to say Rats or Tubescreamers. IMO the next route to go would be with DS1s.

Isn’t the JHS Morning Glory based on the Marshall Bluesbreaker pedal?

I don't like the low end or the high end. I wonder if it's the amp.
@sweetwater3 жыл бұрын
That is definitely a possibility. The Triple Crown Clean channel, Normal mode is very similar to the Mark series clean sound. It's classic Boogie, which means pronounced top-end and lows, with a slight scoop in the mids. Also, very robust so not much breakup. The PackRat through a mid-forward-style amp, Marshall-ish, sounds completely different and equally great. Ultimately, the Boogie clean highlighted the differences in the 9 modes more dramatically, so I went with it for the demo. Perhaps a follow-up demo with multiple guitar and amp combinations, hmmm...🤔 Thanks! DC

If I liked the sound of distortion, I would get this pedal. I think all pedals would be much more useful if you could adjustments with foot pedals. Yes, pedals for the pedals! Thanks for posting
@terrycurtin10082 жыл бұрын
You can. Modeling pedals is huge now. Not Kemper but that newer one. Then you can have this pedal with presets. Or buy a few of the same pedal.

None of them sound like the models they’re supposed to be replicating, they sound like slightly altered generic distortions. Can’t fault JHS for trying I suppose.
