I was so touched by winning last night. I rushed out to buy a Flight Delay to compliment this wild Fuzz. I just started soldering myself this last couple years. I put several sets of pickups in some guitars I wanted to upgrade. So I'm really excited to put this pedal together. Thank you Josh & JHS for improving the guitar/ gear community, injecting fun, history, community, and a spirit of learning that enriches all of us. Thank you for everything you do. ❤❤❤

Thank you again Josh, Belle and Joshua - it's been a blast: Seeing Josh YOLOing the pedal build while taking care of the videography, soldering iron, fumes, fan (fans), fuzz & circuit history, guitar playing and interacting with the MADNESS in the chat. All of this LIVE. You are truly amazing!

FASCINATING! Thanks Josh! I’m a 60+ year old civil engineer (nerd) a 50+ year player / punk rocker. Though I’ve built 5 or 6 Teles and upgraded the electronics on 4 or 5 Teles and Strats, the only pedal “kit” I’ve ever attempted is your Notaklon. And while that went smoothly, these more detailed kits have always intimidated me. I still known the Quadratic Equation by heart, but electronics and wiring diagrams scare the heck out of me. But your video was both entertaining and enlightening. I’m now going to seriously buy one of these kits and built it over the Christmas break. If they aren’t all sold out now that you aired this video, that is!!! Thanks again, you have taught me so much, over the last 3 or 4 years. I’m genuinely excited about this project, too. Very cool.

This series has inspired me to build with my 10 year old who seems to be a budding engineer. I got this kit from your link and I don’t even have soldering gear yet. As a side note…I also have a learning difference and it’s always great to hear how similar other people’s experience are to mine. Josh…thanks for being such a great and inspiring person.

It can be really stressful trouble shooting while live. I get it. Want to thank you for all you do here. Your enthusiasm and positivity is infectious. Props to the whole JHS team!

Yes, believe it or not, people livestream Lego builds. I'm not sure if anyone else has done full pedal builds. "The Guitologist" Live streams all sorts of gear repairs and builds, and has for many years. His name is Brad, he's an incredible guy and he's one of the first YT'ers I ever subbed to like 15 years ago. This was a very interesting and entertaining build video. Josh is one of my favorite people to watch. Thanks.

I was frustrated by a session delay that's held up production. But you've inspired me; now I think I'll go build a pedal today. Somewhere around here I have parts for a Katzenkonig... Btw, pretty sure they're just soldering the PCB onto lug 6 and bracing it against the chassis. I probably would use pot insulators and stick it to the pot backs with foam tape. Now, back to the show to see Josh's solution!

These short circuits are fun! I would like to point out that the tolerances you referred to should be standard on anything that’s fabricated like that housing is It doesn’t matter if it was laser cut (likely-if it’s made on shore anyways) or punched with a turret press (state-of-the-art so long as you are wearing a member’s only jacket unironically) unless you screw up on your set up or your program it’s literally impossible to make a hole outside of tolerance (knock on wood)

This sounds great. The original Mosrite Fuzzrite was tinny shrill acrosss the board. This has the edge on the top end, but this also has mid range and a little bass come through. This sounds like a cross between a fuzzrite and a tone bender.

I'm a big fan of all the albums but i think my favorite was a single that had "Hello Operator" and "Jolene" by Dolly Parton on the "B" side with a peppermint swirl on the vinyl! I was lucky enough to run sound for them when they played Jay's Upstairs in Missoula, MT years ago. A few months later they were on Letterman and they blew up huge. The next time they played Missoula it was at a more prominent club but the owner was being a dick to Jack and Meg and I felt terrible for them. They were soooo nice to me at Jay's Upstairs. It was all yes sir and no sir and i was so impressed by their respect for a small town club doing the best we could with what we had. Great band, great folks!

Watching this later (as well as the backlog of videos) and I hope you enjoy doing these as much as we like watching them. We'd sit here with you for 5 hours if that's what it took. Also, while watching this I thought to myself early on "pedal kits should be my Lego replacement, build a kit step by step but end up with something actually usable", so when you made that comparison, I knew I was in the right place. Quick question, what temp do you set your solder station to?

i don't know exactly what temp he sets it too, but it's usually cranked, lol.

I have a question. I was thinking of buying this because I love the way this sounded after he built it. Having said that I went and watched a couple other demos of this pedal and it sounds nothing like what his does. Is this because they have changed the circuit since the other demos were made?
