My mother just had a stroke on December 8th. I definitely feel your pain and fear especially regarding the future. If it were not for the help of my wife through these crazy times I don’t know what I would do. I am so glad to see the music community and KZbin community come together for you. It goes without saying. Nothing else in this world matters compared to your loved ones and the ones you hold dear. My wife and I are very happy this Christmas and I am eternally grateful that I didn’t lose my mother. She is still with us. I am so happy for you Glen and happy that your wife is safe.

Prayers won’t hurt anything. If God isn’t real, then no reason not to. If God is real, then no reason not to. Been praying for Glenn for a while, don’t matter if he sees, hates, or appreciates it. There’s no point in praying if you don’t pray for those without the presence of God. Not trying to force you into believing something, but telling someone not to pray for someone who’s an atheist doesn’t (or at least shouldn’t) work in the Christian community. Glenn and his wife both need prayer from a Christian standpoint, and he can hate me for it, but that’s alright. Maybe I’m just a crazy nutjob, but I don’t see anything wrong with prayer in this situation even if it allegedly does nothing. I find it kind of disgusting to attack someone for wishing the best for their wife. Probably should have just let it be instead of getting mad that a Christian left a positive comment on Glenn’s video. Your reply accomplishes nothing.

By all means, wish them well and support them to the best of your ability, but there is no evidence to suggest prayer accomplishes anything beyond maybe making the one praying feel good. Even the Bibble is against this type of virtue signaling; Matthew 6:5. The fact that you viewed Bob's calm comment as an "attack" says more about you than him, in my opinion.

My only point is why tell someone to not pray? What’s so terrifying about someone doing something that at worst does nothing, and at best serves miracles. I’m really sorry to hear about your wife. My father had a stroke that affected his speech, it was incredibly rough. Recovery was slow and difficult, but it’s possible. In that regard, she’s honestly lucky to have you. Thank Christ you’re in Canada.. All of the best to the both of you.
