Understanding the Spread of COVID-19

I wonder what asymptomatic vs symptomatic infection rates will look like in healthcare workers and their families, as I am certain we are being exposed without knowing it. I have cared for quite a few flu negative viral PNA cases in the last six weeks. Of course, they were never tested for Covid-19.

One point that was not addressed was the difference in deaths in those severe cases who receive optimal care and the deaths in the severe cases who do not get optimal care. There will be more of the latter if the system is swamped by the number of cases. This Chinese strategy of trying to slow the spread so that the peak of severe cases, while not prevented, is spread out to enable the system to provide care.

I am a family doc in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Carnival finished last week. Yesterday I was visited by a patient with acute respiratory symptoms with no fever. She received an asymptomatic guest from Milan, for the last 3 weeks. Her daughter got flu symptoms and 2 days later, she had began. She initially refused to be tested for COVID-19. Does you know any confirmed case of asymptomatic transmission?

Carla Frohmuller Andrade yes there is a case in the philippines where she did not show any case of symptomps, but later on was confirmed with corona virus.
