簡單改良樂高 42099 的離地距離 Improve your ground clearance of LEGO 42099 in few minutes

LEGO Technic 42099 is a fun Technic set. It is a remote-controlled Off-roader which has certain off-road ability.
However, it is not enough for a so-called "X-treme Off-Roader". It was critized of: 1. climbing power, 2. ground clearance, 3 no differential lock.
Racingbrick has done a good job for solving climbing power by changing gear ratio, and I has found a very way to improve ground clearance within few minutes.

Yes it's very nice but it creates some serious stress on the deferential especially on the rear axel.

Just take a look at my profile picture here & see what I did to solve this, simply use a rubber band as shown here, it fixes the problem & even gives the front of the car better shock absorbance.

0:53 - bad solution: this build is not tough/strong enough 1:35 - you don't need to use any other Lego-bricks - just put this grey liftarm upwards

One thing with this method: the CV joints are now running at a higher angle. They don't like this and will wear faster. Still, a good and easy solution

You are right. 42099 may be easier to turnover when the angle is too high.

It doesn’t work, the axle and ball joint are not turning on wheel hub due to tilt angle.

I did this set of mods however, the front gearbox failed. Once on though!😊

Tried this out dose not work. The suspension puts too much strain on the axels.

Actually i dont suggest this change. Because it creates serious stress the axels. I made this change. After my son drop car approximately 400 mm high, third time front axel holding globe was broke. i give annotion this axel only use for this car. In my country it is priceless cus u can not find :D thank god we have ali express :D:D

No extra brick for the ground clearance. For the twisted axle part, it is better to replace the original 1x7 liftarm with an one 1x3 or 1x5 liftarm.

@@lucarrrr5071 Replace with 1x3 or 1x5 (thinner one) is also ok, but 1x3 may be easy to be found in many technic set.
