I think you have a good point. Language is just a tool of communication, that’s all. As you said, the most important thing is how you let the people know what you want , what you need and what you think. In my past experiences, people who cannot speak English well tend to think too much before they speak out afraid of making grammatical mistakes. People who feel that they will lose their faces if they use basic vocabularies also cannot speak English well. Males with self-pride are more likely compare to females...I think... No thank you... you can say “I’m good (thank you)”, very useful phrase. Natives use this usage quite often. You can use this phrase in various situations.
Doggy bag... although people will eat a meal of leftovers by themselves, as they feel a little embarrassed to ask, they say it is not for me but for my dog (my pet)... that is how this usage comes from.
