So interesting. Ban has done many museums in his career, many of them more progressive and innovative, but this is his best. It's more mature, more composed, more resolved -- this is quite possibly his best work, the hand of a master.

Toyota City Museum will open in April 2024. It can be said to be Shigeru Ban's latest work. This is a work that gives you a sense of maturity, making use of your past experiences.

His houses shouldn't be overlooked. His Curtain Wall House from 1995 is really striking, for example. Though Japanese architects in general produce these kinds of works on a daily basis.
