I'm obviously not Japanese, I'm Irish. I was under the impression from media and interviews with the writers and the actors, and including the Japanese actors in particular, that this production was made to be very historically and culturally accurate. In fact Hiroyuki Sanada is one of the producers of this series as well as being one of the leading actors. There were many Japanese historians and experts in historical Japanese culture brought over to the filming location to advise on how to make everything look as accurate and authentic as possible. I'm very interested to know in which ways you may feel that this production was not historically or culturally accurate? And everyone is hoping that Hoshi Moeka will win all of the major acting awards for her part in this series. She has been the true star of this drama.
