@Gamma Ray they’re not saying it’s bad, they’re saying it’s nice. also, I can tell you that Japan isn’t “embracing China’s culture” (no shade here), they’ve made their own unique culture out of it from what I’ve seen and that it’s originally from China, yes, but it’s different. It’s not a complete copy, they have their own culture. Though what’s sad is only a few people recognize that and realizes it didn’t just born out of nowhere, so I’m actually quite happy you know that :D

I'm not so sure, it depends how people use these ratings. I didn't hit the dislike button myself and I'm sure this recording has cost lots of effort to pull off and I'm glad I listened, but... I'm afraid the original OST is really on a different level to my ears (e.g. in Across the Violet Sky). Maybe the improvement sounds small-ish to some; still, the higher you get, the more difficult it is to improve noticeably.

PLEASE, go watch it! This movie is not a side story, but continues the plot of the series! It is crucial for this whole story!

Violet evergarden is the best example I can think of for an anime. And NieR:Automata is the best example hands down for a video game. Want to know a funny coincidence? The Japanese voice actress for violet evergarden is the same voice actress for 2B from Automata! Yui ishikawa. Lovely voice actress. Although I will admit I played automata and watched evergarden both in dub, and those unfortunately do not share the same voice actresses I don't think. Kira Buckland is the English VA for 2B.
