Thank you! I am from China and I am trying my best to read the Chinese characters between the Japanese, it is a bit hard to understand, but I think I get the idea of the difference between each kind of clay, thank you so much, it is really helpful
When you are interested in how its done but you don't know japanese :(

Mateo Radmilovic they’re using polymer clay; sculpture compound clay; fimo; tamiya epoxy; super sculpey. They’re just listing the type of clays/epoxies they’ve used and the corresponding results. Hence clay -> picture of their sculpture.

@@momokillee oh - no problem. There’s a huge amount of varieties for clays now a days - so it’s sort of easier in terms of what can be done but more complex on what you should be getting. It mostly depends if you want air dry, kiln, microwave or a mix. They’re basically using a combination of all of them - including epoxy - to make different sets of the parts of the sculpture. Like the inner may be something you wanted dried fast and hard so that could use microwave while the outer part of the sculpt you would want for it to be able to dry slow while still being able to adjust it so you usually want a slow air drying clay. In the video they were basically showing what the results of each type of clay/compound used would end up being and the effects it has on the work process. Hope this helps and you’re very welcome. By the way were you using air dry water based clay or kiln based? Those two tend to be wetter to begin with and usually - especially with kiln - they would need to be fired in order to properly harder and take shape. The good thing about those kinds is that even when it dries up you just need to add a little water and you can re-work/continue on what you were doing before. The major thing is when starting out always use less water than you think you need. You can always add water but it’s harder to take it out.

@@samuelwu8278 is the epoxy the liquid thing they use to cover the figures with?
