Simply a splendid home port, only outdone by the PC Engine CD version. This version to me, feels really good to play. The music, while not bad, is heavy with reverb, same with the Art of Fighting games on the SNES/SFC. At least for FF Special, Mai's stage at least has the flags on the poles this round, and not just the poles from FF2 SFC, or the absence of them in the MD FF2 version. One of Mai's special moves relies on those flagpoles for her stage.

@@トッティーゲーム Terry's stage also fittingly starts at a train station, FF 2 also omitted that start of his stage from the arcade version. Monolith went the extra mile to fix the mistakes from Fatal Fury 2 on the SFC.
