Thats because the software trakes the eyebrow area and thats what triggers the ears. Fubuki, Korone, Okayu, and Mio's ears have the same trigger and I think Aki's hair clip antenna things do as well.

multiple monitors make sense for if you want to do multiple things and you don't want to keep going through your taskbar to open the windows of several apps. Sub PC is probably a back-up in case of any hardware failures. Or if the main PC is doing a lot of intense work (ie rendering a vid) and you want to play a game to pass the time or something

Multiple monitors are actually really useful. If you want to check your messages while playing a game, or follow along with a youtube tutorial in fullscreen, or want to have some stats constantly open, it'll help you a lot. And it doesn't even need to be expensive, you can probably pick up some cheap used monitor from an office that's getting rid of their old stuff.
