Now if you're asking how was code got a hold of the karma when he didn't even opposed isshiki well Code was technically his vessel to begin with it but he was interested in Kawaki so he made Code one of the inner core members what Code didn't know that he would be like a backup file if the original file (kawaki) gets destroyed or gets Isshiki destroyed by kawaki himself which will have an impact to his karma getting it off since he killed the user who is extracting him.
