Great vid team! That Blue fish looks awesome! almost like a blue snapper
@staunchpirateproductions39193 жыл бұрын
Thanks man. Yea they're such a cool fish, they're also known as Queen Snapper. They fight heaps harder than a snapper and I reckon taste better too.

For sure mate, small tides and low wind days are the go. If you can catch those conditions with a low swell as well it's just too good.

Great video guys! what a morwong! just subscribed. I am planning a fishing trip down to Jervis in December so it was great to get some info. is there a public boat ramp down there?
@staunchpirateproductions39193 ай бұрын
Thanks mate. There is a public boat ramp at Cape Jervis, its a solid concrete ramp with a floating pontoon to tie off if required. The ramp does cop a bit of a swell surge on occasions otherwise its a good ramp with access to some excellent fishing.

Awesome mate! If only every fishing session finished with conditions like that hey! Getting consistent results on the slow pitch jigs too. Great effort! 👍👍🤙🤙

Thanks bro. Yea the conditions were so good, we were just happy to be out there. The SPJ has been working well for us lately and it means I don't have to get bait all over our boat hahaha.

Great stuff guys 👌 I’m super jealous of your jigging results 🤩 and WOW 🤩, there’s STILL tuna around 😳
@staunchpirateproductions39193 жыл бұрын
Cheers Mick. Yea the jigs have been very productive for us lately and we were just as surprised to see the tuna out there. Hopefully they hang around a while longer. Tight lines mate.

Thanks mate. Yea we were pretty excited to see the Nanny, it tasted amazing so now we will be even more excited to see the next one haha. That rod was a NS Black Hole Demersal Explorer PE3, great Jigging rod and they are well priced.

Hi Luke...was this last Friday 21st May?
@staunchpirateproductions39193 жыл бұрын
Hey Bakes, Yea mate it was. Such an epic weather window. Scored some smaller tides as well which helps when trying to fish deep in the Passage.
@bakes4023 жыл бұрын
@@staunchpirateproductions3919 Fully agree, we tend to stay away on any days outside one or two days either side of the dodge. The minn kota helps to stop us from drifting but if the tide is running too hard, you need to use too much weight to fish anywhere near the boat !! That Friday was perfect but definitely windier closer to Cape Jervis than farther south.
@staunchpirateproductions39193 жыл бұрын
@@bakes402 yea mate couple of days either side of the dodge is the go for sure. Our Minn Kota was out of action for this trip unfortunately, would have been very handy to stay right on some good marks we found.

@@staunchpirateproductions3919 My last trip down there on the 21st was the first since I got my Minn Kota (less than 12 months old) back from the service agent...7 weeks...!! and it is still not as new when it was returned...!!! There is a real business opportunity in Adelaide for a dedicated Minn Kota service agent..!!

@@bakes402 man that's a long time to wait. Luckily our Minn Kota is all good I just need to sort my batteries out. Yep i reckon you're onto something there with a dedicated Minn Kota service centre. Definitely a gap that could be filled.
