What's it Worth? Completely Rebuilt Duranautic 16 Aluminum Boat!

Talk about cool little boats - I had the pleasure of going over Victor's lovingly and extensively rebuilt 2001 all-welded Duranautic 16, an absolute gem of a small boat.
We go over the boat from stern to bow and ask that you guess the price he's asking for it (we reveal the price in the second half of the video).

John ? At best it’s a freshwater tiller boat, no splash well, no flotation in the hull, that would sink in two seconds, it’s a total death trap, I had a 16 Lund that blows that away and I almost died on in Sebago Lake ! Never took it in salt water, never would. Sorry , nice video thanks.

Dude, you don't know much about Duranautic boats. There is flotation foam under the floor, and in the benches. Duranautic designs their boats to have level flotation. The hull design handles rough water extremely well. Duranautic boats are sold all up and down the east coast and used by many in saltwater for over 40 years. In fact, one of the dealers around Port of Egypt sold them for many years. Why would it need a splashwell? The boat has NEVER ONCE taken water over the side, and I've been hit by many large rips and wakes, from all directions, by "guys in Lunds," and other larger boats. Never once had to use the bilge pump. Smart boaters watch the weather, pick their days, and know their limits. The boat is just as safe as any other boat on the Sound, in Plum Gut, the Peconic, and Cayuga Lake. I know this because I've used it on all of them, and never endangered my family of four or had any near death experiences. It is an all-water tiller boat, as long as you're not an idiot. Thanks for your comments, they'll really help me sell my boat... Do some research before you comment, get informed, and then do yourself, and me a favor, and delete your post.

I used to slay the great south bay on a boat just like that 10 years ago a 15 foot alumicraft with a 25 horse same exact engine I fished for 3 years straight with that engine no problems. I have the 5 hore version of that engine on my kayak . I'm looking for something like that to launch at the beach by my house
