Awesome pattern, thank you for doing a video of it. I'm always looking for new and cool damsel imitations. I will have to purchase some of the head turner beads and whip some up. I can already picture how effective it will be for me this season.

@@BCFlyguys most definitely. Another fly I use squirrel in that drives my local trout crazy is the meat whistle from John Barr. He does big ones with rabbit for bass and other fish. I love doing them in a size 4 or 6 and substitute squirrel zonkers for the rabbit. I tie the whole rest of the fly the same way just size it down. The olive and the rust orange are my top 2 colors, especially in the fall. I rarely bottom bounce them as intended, rather I go out in 10+ feet of water and let it sink down to anywhere from 5 feet to half the water depth and swim it back like a bugger or streamer.

If they don't carry it on their website almost any other modern shop either has them on hand or can order you one. A couple of places that have done well for me is togens fly shop, and fly fish food down in utah. I don't remember the manufacturer of this particular twister, but I imagine if you even just so a Google search for a turbo dubbing twister this one will likely show up. I hope this helps you out.

I’ve had this one for years, but most shops have twisters. Just look for the hook style over the spreader style. Cheers bud!

I’m sure this is a very effective pattern but to call this a damsel is a bit of a stretch. Looks more like a leech pattern as damsels are very slender and smaller

Don’t think I’d call it a stretch at all. Damsels range from 15mm-30 or 40mm in length. This fly overall would be near the 40 range so on the bigger side yes but if you tie it and get it wet you will see how slender it actually is. The body itself is quite thin, the squirrel collar and tail give necessary life to the fly. Appreciate your input though thank you!
