Those who have elder sister can connect with this. I mean that protective sister who picks you up when you fall down. Physically or morally. People often try to brush off ALIA saying it's only coz Karan Johar gave her opportunities while failing to realise that the likes of Arjun Kapoor,Tiger shroff , Sonam Kapoor,Ananya Pandey, Sara Ali Khan, Jahnvi Kapoor all got plenty of opportunities but didn't had the talent to encash it or put in the hardwork to improve themselves. Alia after her debut has shown tremendous improvement as an actor with each passing roles and the hardwork is visible to all, she too could have been like Shradhha stuck up playing only eye candy and girl next door roles but instead chose to take risks and improved herself as an Actor ❤ And Jigra will be another feather on her cap.

Any lesser actress would have sounded cringe. Yesterday, I and my friend went to watch this movie. In the end, I loved the movie because the women centric movies are rare in bollywood. The way she broke the jail and protected her brother was truly inspiring and empowering, specially for the elder sisters (like me). But my friend didn't like the movie and said "alia ko faltu me bohat jada powerful aur strong potray kar diya, ye sab faltu unrealistic tha"..this is how most of the Indian audience thinks. They don't digest that women can be protecters, fighters or strong. If this was a male centric movie in which a brother was doing all the fighting and protecting his sister, then none of them had any problem. That movie became superhit then, but because this is a female centric movie so people can't take women as "strong or powerful" because they have had this habit to see women in item songs, submissive, weak, naive or in glamorous eye candy way to satisfy male audience. They don't have the habit to see women differently as a "human", and the movie portrayed alia's character as strong and empowering, so people didn't like it because of that. Even women themselves judging her character that "how can it's portrayed so powerful", jab salman khan ped ukhad deta hai tab unko bohat "realistic" lagta hai but jab woman jail break kare toh inhe "bohat jada ho gaya" lagta hai. This shows how much internalized misogyny and patriarchal mindset we have. This is the reason why women centric movies like Highway, Darlings, Thappad, Pink, Chappak etc aren't SUPERHIT or BLOCKBUSTER like male centric movies. Anyways, I got to know the character of Indian audience when I watched Animal. They didn't know who Tripti was until Animal and they are the same people who are criticizing her that "she lost her value, showed nudity blah blah"..bina nudity ke kis kis ko pata tha uske bare me? So that's how hypocrite Indians are. Being a woman herself, the way my friend criticized alia's character itself shows the internalized misogyny of most people.

I saw this movie through Netflix.. First of all.. I loved this movie.. They way alia acts, her emotions, her styles etc... Alia is so cute and thin,.. Thats the main problem in this movie i think.. Yes she tried her level best to bail out her brother.. But in some point its pointless.. This theme is good but.. If i got a chance to recreate this movie.. I will correct some scenes logically.. And its a great effort.. The BGM and her brother he is so handsome.. I love him too.... Actually i enjoyed it.. For alia 10/10..., Storyline 4/10,... Thank you this is my opinion
