I know you did say it by not condemning it in here but just say it in plain and direct words! You know the British government is not gonna do anything after all so why not showing them up and doing a real Jihad by doing so?!

"One of my other concerns regarding moderate Muslims is their response to Islamic terrorism. Whenever the issue of Islamic extremism arises, the first reaction of moderate Muslims is not to start an honest debate and reform in their religion but to defend Islam and Muslims. Moderate Muslims are obsessed with slogans like “the religion of peace” more than they care about facing the terrorists emerging from their own communities. Moderate Muslims rush to warn about Islamophobia and unjust western prejudice against Muslims. Almost in every single occasion that Islamic terrorism is mentioned, Muslims’ first action is to defend their faith. They assert over and over how peaceful and beautiful Islam is. They are obsessed with their religion and care about it more than they care about stopping murder in its name. It should be clear that this kind of obsession is just another form of fundamentalism. The time has come to talk about how unhelpful and unhealthy their constant obsession with Islam is. Those Muslims need to know that it is more important right now to direct their efforts inside their communities to battle extremism than to polish the image of a faith soaked in blood. Constantly using the rhetoric of Islamophobia and defending their faith as if it was under attack does not help us to promote peace but actually makes the job of terrorist recruiters easier." ok so why don't jews reform judaism in the face of violent zionism?
@Jonathangriffin82 Жыл бұрын
This is an absolutely outrageous statement. It reeks of Islamophobia and a complete lack of understanding of Islam. Firstly, why does a ‘moderate’ Muslim have a duty to comment on events that are unrelated to their day to day activities? Every Muslim is not a spokesperson for their religion. For example, doe every atheist have to condemn hitler and Stalin all the time? Does every Hindu have to condemn the Gujarat riots? Does every Christian have to condemn the Christchurch terrorise? Should every white person come out and condemn Dylan Roof? Why is it the job of ‘moderate Muslims’ to come out and condemn a terrorist? Also, how much condemnation is enough? Why would a Muslim in Alaska need to come out and make a statement against jihadi John? Your statement is islamophobic because you are trying to hold Islam to a value that you don’t appropriate to other religions.

@RitaSijelmass9 жыл бұрын
As strongly as I disagree with him in most cases, I do think there is something to take out of this conversation. It is that everyone is human (also Mohammed Emwazi), and of how malleable the human mind is. What Jihadi John has done is an outrage, it's a threat to human society, and his actions are unforgivable. BUT he did once grow up as a small kid with hopes and dreams, and to learn the psychology behind a person like that would educate us greatly to prevent it from happening in the future. Also, he makes a point that terrorism does not only happen by radical muslims - Guantanamo Bay, can, in a sense, be compared here as being equally horrifying. Again; I do not say that I agree with Asim Qureshi, but there is a take-home message from all of this: monsters aren't born as monsters, they evolve into one later on.

Asim Qureshi condemns the actions that where used but not the man for doing so, he blames others and wants the accountability to be acknowledged from all parties for making this " beautiful man " do these acts but places no accountability on that man. He still believes Mohammed Emwazi is innocent and is not willing to admit that he had a part in those beheading's as the screen turns away just when the knife is about to draw blood. Disgusting
@americanslime10 жыл бұрын
I don't know about this Qureshi guy, but I love he says he condemns war crimes no matter who commits them like 5 fucking times and the interviewer still thinks he somehow isn't applying that to this one guy. The principle he's putting forward is completely sound- war criminals should be condemned and punished for their actions universally. I get the frustration, though. Both sides of this debate always seem much happier to talk about one group's violence than the other. It would be much easier if we could all acknowledge the degree of violence perpetrated by both sides in its fullest extent, without minimizing any of it, and move from there.

What Asim Qureshi is saying by implying Emwazi was a "nice" person is that if you don't want this to happen again don't mess with "us" because any of us can become Jihadi John's and you don't want that on your hands, so do whatever we say and you'll be fine. @danielmurray049 жыл бұрын
Daniel Murray in a christian context it would probably fall within a warped extension of bearing false witness... very interesting that one was in the ten commandments don't you think?... I'm not religious, but we would be fools not to study what, even in secular terms, wold be one of the most important books on morality even written? ... with the Quran of course... also interesting how Mohammad is the prophet and founder of the church, while jesus is only a small part of the bible and the christian founding ... which one do the say was the rock on which christianity is founded was?.. and of course Christianity is like the next chapter in Judaism.. and then the Quran being supposedly the last word.This is probably why Muslims take insults against Mohammad more seriously than Christians do Jesus, even though... Christianity is barely a religion in the developed world any more... look at jewish people and Muslims, they take their beliefs very seriously, to Christians they are like being in some sort of social club... interesting as their belief claims god and his mum. You know, a parallel chronological observation of various religions, social changes, economics, increase/decrease in state involvement in raising children, war, revolution and perceptions of the public on these issues, would be very interesting.
@danielmurray049 жыл бұрын
***** has that been proved? you really trust what the mainstream media to decide a person death!!!! If he is guilty, what difference is the SAS getting him make anyway? if you open your eyes you can see that western interventions in Muslim countries are pretty much the main cause, only cause, of retaliation .... are you really trying to say western action, support for Israel, is not a factor in any Muslim retaliation? do you even see it as retaliation?
@danielmurray049 жыл бұрын
***** you don't think a person having their family blown to bits by a drone, would be depressing? If you think this is about religion, you don't even know the basics.
@danielmurray049 жыл бұрын
***** look, what Islamic nation that has these supposed groups, were not occupied, bombed, bullied, embargoed, or had the state disabalised by western forces ? Religion is a tool and a deception in it's role here.... it is not the cause in any way, just like Israel, Northern Ireland, it seems to match certain sides, but that is really incidental, of course the Jews use the holocaust.. but that is political.
