The concept of teasing kids that gradually makes them insecure in their persona is one of the worst practices- especially in educational institutions- where kids should be in an environment that encourages them to embrace their individuality & be confident in themselves. When bullied kids grow up with unexpressed insecurities, they become the most vulnerable to radicalisation, or mental illnesses. It's sad but it's the truth.

I am a young teenager who wants to enter the world of psychiatry and Mohammed Emwazi's profile has always honestly interested me. He's honestly almost a guy that to understand his whole process you have to have understood every puzzle in his brain what he's thinking and what he was thinking. Certainly seeing him as a weak, lonely boy who ignores everyone even on the last day of school honestly makes me express an emotion of empathy and honestly I'm not doing anything other than just watching documentary after documentary about him, looking for people who knew him. .. But the conclusion is one, give affection and motivation to every single person. You can't honestly see someone reduced like this.

How was he a bully as a kid? If anything he was the victim of bullying. Doesn't even come close to justify his later actions, but let's not distort the truth.

You appear to have missed my point entirely. We understand he was bullied from the teachers and about 10 seconds of a tv clip. I’m suggesting teachers are so out of touch they have no idea who is a bully and who isn’t. People who are bullies are often also self conscious are they not?

i dont know why people in the comments are thinking he became a jihadi because of 'bullying'. this video never mentioned he was bullied, just teased for having a bad breath. big difference between a teasing and bullying. my wife still teases me about a conversation we had YEARS ago. i dont ever think of hitting her. i think when they thought he was going to somalia because of al-shabab, and deported him back to UK, he started watching al-shabab videos.... and later became obsessed with it... and then later wanted to be like them... so he went to syria and joined ISIS... theres a reason why he showed al-shabab videos to his hostages. thats my guess... makes way more sense than other comments who think he became a jihad because of 'bullying'

Once they accept you as one of theirs, the way migrants speak about their host country is very, very different. I have no doubt that whilst 'people who knew him' were surprised, anyone who actually spoke to him knew. Most Muslim men would do what he did if given the chance, and hate westerners with a passion. They just know how to play the game, living in a face culture where honesty is not important, they know how to game the system, and boy have they gamed you all.

Many British people say they can't believe that this boy grew up to do the things he did. But what is even more shocking is that if the British people saw what their soldiers were doing in the Middle East while they were invading Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya etc and saw the things that their own soldiers were doing to Muslims, they wouldn't believe it too, and many would understand why Mohammod Emwazi reacted to the carnage that the West unleashed on the Muslim population in his ancestral lands. , violence begets violence hate begets hate. The British are beginning to understand that they cannot simply go into Muslim lands today with jackboots like they did 100 years ago without consequence.
