We are chatting and reviewing Jamie Lynn by Paula Young in 2 colors today. This is another affordable wig brand, and still trying it out. The colors we are looking at today are Buttered Toast Rooted, and Wheat Rooted.
MY HEAD MEASUREMENTS:
Circumference: a tad over 21"(a tish over)
Ear to Ear: 12"
Front hairline to nape (just below occipital bone) 12"

I have ordered several blonds from Paula young, and almost gave up on finding the right warm blonde color for me, until now!. I think it's perfect! Hi Jill! I have a few Paula Young wigs and really have no one to talk with them about this so I'm kind of solo-ing in this area. Thank you for shaing this info. I've had problems getting these in the size I need - I measure out for a large cap. I tried an average size, was somewhat ok. Do these wigs seem rather light as in seeming rather thin? I have several Henry Margu pieces I'm really happy with and have been very durable over the years. Nice to hear another woman's opinion rather than relying on just me. Actually, my hair in my photo here is a Paula Young wig. I think it looks nice.

I just watched you review Jamie Lynn. I realize you can afford many more expensive wigs. I’m going to be honest. Doing the Jamie Lynn you sounded slightly snarky and negative. It looked beautiful on you, and I’m sure being more positive would make a huge difference to those of us that cannot afford more. It’s really tough for many of us these days. Even wigs are more expensive these days. You are beautiful.

I absolutely would never be snarky or in any way as you describe so I am sorry if you interpreted this video in that way. My focus is always to be helpful in an honest way. If I am not liking something though you will know… I will bring it to the forefront… same as if I am loving something about any given product I am sharing. I love many lines and pieces in many price points… such as Toni Brattin wigs (for instance) are lovely and have shared many here on my channel. I do take offense to your comment because it is so very against my character, and it goes against the very foundation of my channel. I am not a pretentious person, and that is what you are passive aggressively insinuating.

Looks good big much better than slicked down. Could trim that flip a bit. The spray separates the fibers so you see the contrast... really nice,

Hi’ I have this one in the same color as the latter. I agree it is to yellow and the Boar Husk pieces on the sides are annoying.! They also poke at me in a very itchy way. It does have great body and it screams for my square headbands. I also get a lot of compliments on it.....and I just ordered another for that reason. But I think it is so believable because it looks like a dye job went astray. I may try to loosen the pokie things with curling iron also....but after you do it. 😆😂 ~See ya Lee

Hello, i have a Jamie Lynn but dont wear it because it starts to look like a helmet and is hot. I like your advice about getting the layers up. I may try thinning it too. The Meg wig is adorable, light wt and cool for summer. I wear it instead of the Jamie lynn.

Love this style for you Jill. With all my wigs long or medium length i give her a quick cold bath , blot dry ,shake upside down and hang upside down to dry it's the fastest way to wake her up. I also use Pantene alcohol free hairspray. Love your videos, God Bless.

I never got used to leaving the house in wigs. I always felt they didn’t meld to my head. They seem to “sit atop” my head, and don’t look natural. And, yes, I’ve tried average and large cap. But I recently realized that someone I know has been wearing a wig for 2 years, and I never realized it was a wig. So?? Rethinking the whole thing. Lol.

Very pretty wig, but I'd have to cut off those flippy pieces. they would drive me crazy! I just bought Raquel's Voltage and I have the same issue with the pieces right over the ears. They flip out. I think they're too short personally. Thanks for your videos. I've learned a lot about wigs.

Is that a new color? I found the wig just now but the color looked just brown not with any highlights in it I am 64 and I am salt and pepperI would like to have a wig with color but also with gray in it

I have Jamie Lynn. Can't say anything bad about it. This wig compares to ones I've bought for $200-$300+. No front lace is not a problem as the more expensive wigs that do have lace fronts don't sit flat on my head anyway. (and yes I have them positioned correctly) Mono top would be a plus but at least in this wig the perm-a-tease doesn't show. (if there is any) My personal opinion is this wig is well worth the very affordable price as others name brands are overpriced. Is it just me but it seems like most manufacturers are using more and more heat friendly fibers. Of course I'm thinking it's because they know these fibers don't last as long and we will have to purchase more often. lol

Hello sweetheart....P.Y. Wisperlite wig fibers are in my opinion excellent.. I didn't know until recently buying Noriko and Toni Brattin Rene of Paris.. I was stunned that my Paula Young wisperlite wigs held up better than the so called better lines. I'd be so interested in what you think❤️❤️Gods blessings on you🙏🏼😇✝️

Hi Jill! I am learning what I can about wigs before I leap. The terms, names, acronym...🤪🤪 makes my brain hurt! When you did your spin with the darker wig and fluffed up the back, I noticed the wig (weft or permatease?). How do you prevent that on a windy day? Denise Ruel all machine wefted wigs will reveal wefts if you lift up the fibers. People won’t even notice because they aren’t scrutinizing your hair that closely. I don’t let things like that bother me. Now if I can see wefts without wind... that would bother me.

Denise Ruel I would love to add that don’t think you have to learn it all before you get that first wig and before you begin your wig journey, because most of your learning is going to happen while you are on it. I just wanted your ladies to know that Paula Young was way overcharging me on sales tax. I talked to 2 representatives, 1 couldn't speak English, the second hung up. The 3rd I asked for the Supervisor. She said online is "estimated tax" so I asked can she tell me actual tax, she said "yes". So she told me the total & said my state tax is 5.6 which is correct. So, I took the total x the tax % & it was $10 less than her version. I asked her if she had a calculator to duplicate it (I'm a bookkeeper btw). She went silent. I said if I pay more than I owe then I'm being cheated. So I asked for the Mgr. Now she knew how to do math but the computers are set to change a higher tax rate, at least in my state. She said she reported the issue but whether it gets changed or not, I don't know. My real tax was $15.24 & they wanted to charge me $28.56! Their returns are expensive too.

I have this wig and it’s really brassy. The style is fun because you can tuck it, both sides, or one side..bring to your face or comb it completely back and slick it..but the color is just not exactly right. I also have another versa fiber in that same color and the root is so reddish brown and the tips of the hair are almost white with that yellow brassy color throughout. But I thought you looked s pretty in both colors. I don’t believe in this video you can tell how brassy the blonde one looks. But I love Paula young wigs... they’re affordable and I have several styles that I wear often.

Hi Diane, Well....you really nailed the reason why I do not wear this style. ;) I plan on trimming the flippy bits in back (I do that eventually w/ Elizabeth by jon renau)...but, have not got around to doing yet. ;)

Well...not sure. I think that the hair is light, and razored, and would have to be careful if thinning. I ruined a wig thinning it before. :(
