I've always said that only one person and one person could ever sing this song, and that person is Judy Garland. But as I started to watch this it was like Judy was on that stage and not some man in drag. BRAVO BRAVO BRAVO to Jim Bailey

there are camp impersonations, which are good and fun, but then there are true tributes like Jim Bailey

Bailey does a beautiful job of distilling the essence of the women he impersonates! Great perfomance!
@stevemacchia57825 жыл бұрын
What's truly amazing is he did this on mainstream television in the 1960's, way before a man becoming a woman has now become acceptable. An example of truly honing your craft and wanting to share. Bravo!

Baily evokes not only the most beautiful familiar talent of Judy, he evokes the tremendous experience of the sentiment we always imagined in her very heart. I have to she'd a tear of gratitude for the awesome energy and devoted career Jim has made for us all.

Good god, the voice! The first few lines I was completely fooled, I thought it was Judy intercut w Jim. Astonishing performance.

Every time I watch this performance, I get tears in my eyes. I'm not very old but I've always loved Judy! The first time I watched Wizard of Oz I was awestruck by her. Her voice was truly once in a lifetime. Such a sad story is hers. So glad that we have Jim to remind us of her power. Such a wonderful tribute to a great artist gone to soon.

THANK YOU!!! You are so very very very right! He is NOT a parody...the man pays homage to these women in they way they deserve and not as some punchline to a joke about a man in a dress lip sync hing. It's so wonderful to find other people with my sincere appreciation for this man!

FORGET ANNE HATHAWAY, THIS GUY SHUD SOOOO BE IN JUDYS UPCOMIN BIOPIC! WOOOW...I CAN NOT BELIEVE THIS IS NOT JUDY GARLAND HERSELF. He has studied her distinctive vocal style right down to the tee, he nails the vibrato which Judy uses sooo soulfully and is her trademark. I now have to see this man live, so that for those of us younger people who never got a chance to experience the iconic Judy herself, will have the next best thing that is the closest experience of watchin the great lady herself.

imo, the should've used him as judy garland in the boy from oz....he puts more passion into it..the original girl was just like ladeedee dah I'm gonna sing higher than judy would and sound weird, but I'll just wing it and make Judy look awful
