Its definitely one of those entry-level mixer bourbons for people who aren't aficionados. You can make cocktails for people who "aren't bourbon drinkers" with these, and they'd enjoy them.

You should try the base version of Bardstown Kentucky Straight Bourbon. It’s a bit pricey, around $45 here in Michigan but it’s totally worth it. I believe it’s 96 proof and it’s the one with the white label.

This is a blend of Jim Beam white label and their brown rice mash bill they made originally for Basil Hayden. It was originally a Germany exclusive, and it was made as a mixer. They suggested on the German website to mix it with grapefruit juice. The closest analogue to this is probably Johnnie Blonde, which was very light and made to be mixed with sparkling lemonade.
