I don’t even know how many ultrasounds I’ve had with four kids - at least a dozen 😂 But there has never been a moment when I flashed anyone in a skirt. I prefer skirts when I’m pregnant because Florida. Anyway, if she wanted to wear a skirt, she could. The crew could wait on the other side of the curtain if she couldn’t do the leg shift without flashing someone. But since she has been driving for years, she has that leg shift down😂 If anyone is imagining a table like an exam table in a doctor’s office - that’s not what US exam tables are generally like. Because pregnant women and people with injuries/disabilities are frequent US patients, the tables are below waist height. There’s no climbing onto tables. You sit and rotate to lie down. There’s no flashing involved unless that doesn’t matter to you (because it is a medical environment, after all. US techs know you have legs and private parts).

@@jahbern I've had my fair share of ultrasounds as well (fertility treatments, high risk with my first pregnancy, twins + high risk with my second, and a miscarriage with my 3rd) and none of my exam or ultrasound tables were at a level where I could just sit and spin. I had to use a pull out stool thing every time, which is hell with a twin pregnancy! I need to move my butt to Florida if I decide to have another! Sounds like your hospital systems down there think about a pregnant person's comfort more than the ones we have here in Missouri.

The “log cabin” is ON the same property as the big house. I doubt JB is keeping this house indefinitely. He did the same thing for Derick and Jill (until they quit the show). He lets them live in investment properties, but they don’t get to own them. The reason Jessa and Ben have stayed in their house so long is because it wasn’t one of the investments. Grandma owned it and they gave it to Josh and then Jessa. It’s more “permanent.” I think Jessa wears it like a badge of honor that they don’t “need” a large house. Ben also has no job except working for Michelle and JB. John got his land through a deal with a bank. He cleared it for them so they let him keep it as payment. That’s also something he owns outright.

Boy ultrasounds are a lot easier than girl ultrasounds! They may have seen it on a screen without even having to tell the kids. I haven't checked into Ben's Church, but I do know a lot of Reformed Baptist women to wear pants. The idea in that group is more along the lines of if it comes from the women's section and it's modest, it's fine. Some women in the group also go sleeveless, so you might see that from her maybe. I think since Ginger went public on TV about her pants and her parents it's probably less of a big deal and their family at this point, though you know Michelle sits there and says I raised them better."

My thought is JB expects that his sons-in-laws should provide a home for their family. I agree that JB is grooming Jed for politics and getting him married is the first step. Next time he runs, he will likely have a kid or 2. I could see JB giving Ben & Jessa that small house as a starter home since Ben was in school when they married. Now that Ben has graduated it is time for him to step up and provide a home for his growing family. Unless he has an arrangement to work for JB & Shelly. It seems that Josh and Jessa are forever tied to JB & Shelly as they look to them for $$ financial support. We don't know what house Jim Bob will give Jessa and Ben in the future. Their little house had belonged to grandma Mary and was used as a starter home. (Josh & Anna) Jill & Derrick got the bigger house because it was closer to Walmart hdqtrs, where Derrick worked then. Also, J&D were talking about 'mission trips' and didn't plan to stay stateside very long. It does seem odd that Jed got a big house right up front (why not switch Jessa & Ben, and give J&K the little house now), but we don't know what other properties are in the wings. Also, I do really believe Jessa loves the smaller house. And it was completely renovated when they were on their honeymoon in Europe.

However, I do think the boys get more as Duggarworld rules mean the man is the financial head of the home and the financial provider too.
