This interview is from March 2020 & we were asked to private because Jim Bob did not want this online. We never spoke to Jim Bob, instead he made his feelings known to Amy & her mom.
Katie Joy interviewed Amy Duggar King who appeared on "Counting On" and other reality tv. Her family made her famous, but she insists she couldn't be more different than them.

Hey Everyone, This interview is almost two years old. Most of you know that I don't really speak to Amy much anymore. I have deep empathy for her situation. When this interview was done, I had just met her. It was March 25, 2020. I am republishing today because the trial is over, the show is cancelled. JIm Bob never asked me to remove the video, but he did make it known to Amy. I don't think being silenced is ever ok. I think her views and experience are valid. Regardless of where I stand with her today, I truly hope for her own sake that she can break away from all of this for her own well being. Jim Bob’s long history of silencing people isn’t new. I should have never privated this and become part of his game. So I’m putting it back online to show you that she did nothing wrong. He shouldn’t have threatened to sue her & she shouldn’t be intimidated by him. Katie

I have so much respect for Amy since day one. She still reminds me of myself. Her amazing way of voicing her opinions without throwing anyone under the bus is still phenomenal to me. What she is putting up with her own family is so devastating and a big blow for us fans and people that know her. I do not understand how Jim Bob calls himself a true follower of God when he and his son continue to hurt people and their own family. What type of God do they worship?! I was born and raised as a Catholic. Through out my entire life I have made lots of mistakes some were irreparable and some not. Though my family is very religious they respect everyone's individuality and discrimination against everyone that is different than ourselves is rule number 1. God doesn't make mistakes but, if you're in the wrong He will give you wake-up call sooner or later and He leaves it up to us to heed that call and change or continue on the same road that will leave you with nothing but regrets. God gave us a brain so that we can think for ourselves. You reap what you sow and before our time is up you will pay dearly for the mistakes you've done and never fixed.

I think blanket training only teaches the child they cannot trust the parent, or whoever it is that's coaxing them off the blanket and then smacking them for it. I also believe it's child abuse, and a physical assault on an infant. Let's face it they're under 2 years when that crap is going on; that's an infant that's not even a child.

I don't think they ever thought she was really crazy. They meant that she wasn't afraid to have fun or speak her mind. Whereas the Duggar girls that were her age barely had time for fun, since they had to do chores and raise their siblings, and they visibly thought about everything before it came out of their mouths. It has always been clear to me that Amy had a big heart and loved her family very much. And I admire her greatly!

I love Amy, she seems kind and an s incredibly genuine, and loving person. I once ended up talking to her (having no idea it was her) while trying to find a dress for my own grandmother’s funeral (we had a similar relationship that she had with her grandmother) when on the 3130 site (at some point after this was filmed). I hate her voice was silenced. I also hate her (and her husband’s) businesses have been impacted by Josh’s awful actions and the whole Duggar trial and debacle (I know a little about having extended family doing awful things I find reprehensible too. Although not at the level at what Josh did). I can empathize with her. I imagine she is disgusted by what he did too (which she has spoken of…something I think is awesome of her to do. She didn’t have to). I really hope she’s ok with this, and doesn’t get in trouble or face backlash for this! (After watching, I can’t imagine why she shouldn’t face any backlash! She showed herself to be a loving and caring person. If Jim Bob wanted that taken down…well, it was clearly a move to control her and her ability to speak of her own experiences, not protect his family. She didn’t really say anything bad at all except for her issues with legalism and fundamentalism in general -not one single family or person-even then she spoke in general, not in specifics and from her own experience).

@@thetruthdatedr.4766 This is a 2 year old video. Please read Katie's pinned comment, and comments from people! She responds to a few. I don't know much about the situation. Nor do I speak for Katie or Amy. I try to ignore all this drama! Thanks! 🙏🙏🙏🙏

I used to watch 17, 18, 19 kids and counting, etc. Whenever Amy was on, I just loved it. I always thought she was a breath of fresh air! She and her mom are beautiful ladies. I'm new to your channel and don't know about your current status with Amy, but this was a very fun interview.

Me too! She’s one of those people who just light up a room. I love her spunk and how she wasn’t afraid to make remarks about the differences between her customs and her cousins. She comes off as very genuine to me. I loved seeing her light up talking about her baby.

Katie, God willing this will actually helps push Amy and her mother to truly break away from Jim Bob. They need to learn the word No and to speak that truth to Jim Bob. Have a wonderful weekend Katie and stay warm! I love 💕 the state of Minnesota! So beautiful! I’ve been there a few times as I have relatives that live in Detroit Lakes.

I want to see that all powerful NDA that Amy keeps claiming Uncle Jim Bob forced her to sign. Those things don't last forever. I think she's lying about the NDA. I think she uses it as an excuse to not talk about anything personal, and not piss off her uncle and cut off any future $$$ gifts/ properties etc. I lost a lot of respect for Amy over the past two weeks, how she came after people when her "public record" debt secrets got out. Sounds like something her creepy uncle would do. Just another Duggar trying to squeeze out the last bit of fame before the hot air balloon goes flat and falls to the ground. Like the rest of them, she proves herself to be nothing special.

I remember when you had this live stream. It always confused me why Jimmy-Bob wanted it down. Just makes it clear imo that Jimmy knew 💩was about to hit the fan because his "golden child" is a monster. I hope Amy can fully remove herself from the Duggars (Jim's) control one day.

@@mariavita7536 yep and I thought she was at the time both honest about her personal experiences and very respectful of her extended family. I think we all fully understood why she spoke carefully and respected her choice. It is so sad to know how much control Jimmy still has on his whole family 😔

Why should she remove herself from anyone's control, or take a stand against a patriarchal cult, when she can still pretend to be a victim and try to milk the last bit of $$$ from the Duggar name? Amy's refusal to take a strong stand against all of this crap, will be her undoing, just like it will be her cousins undoing.

Amy is so precious, I am a born again Christian as well as Amy and she truly represents our Lord and savior Jesus Christ, so many of us Christians sadly give God a black eye not representing Him for who He is, I am sure I have been guilty of that myself. God bless you Amy and enjoy your beautiful baby boy and husband! Don’t let any ones representation of God put a sour taste in your mouth, you are all a creation of His and He loves you!
