I used to sing this with Hubby. He has gone on to be Jesus since 2013. One day I shall be home with him.

I remember hearing this first by the Parton’s (Tim’s parents and sister) at the Glory Barn in KCK. Sweet memories!

So good…much has been written and said about Jim’s smooth singing and Tim’s mastery on keys. But Melissa? Wow. Her voice is like a rich tapestry; expressive and beautiful. They were some trio! And dear Aaron Wilburn’s song(s) will live forever.

Saw them in our small town. I was at the point that I wasn't going to church because I had been staying with my daddy while he was sick. Our music leader played Homesick for Heaven and I decided to go to church. I got to talk to Jim Brady, his wife, and backup singer. They are awesome people.

Somewhere just across the Jordan River Is a place of everlasting joy and peace Where the stream of life is flowing there forever And the crown of life is waiting there for me That sounds like home to me Like where I want to be There'll be no tears, to fill our eyes again The hills will echo with the story As we sing of his grace and glory Where the saints of God will be That sounds like home to me Oh, they say there's only joy inside, that city And little playing by the tree of life No pain, no disappointments there will hurt us And Jesus Christ Himself, will be the light That sounds like home to me Like where I want to be There’ll be no tears to fill our eyes again The hills will echo with the story As we sing of His grace and glory Where the saints of God will be That sounds like home to me That sounds like home to me Like where I want to be There’ll be no tears to fill our eyes again The hills will echo with the story As we sing of His grace and glory Where the saints, of God will be That sounds like home to me The hills will echo with the story As we sing of his grace and glory Where the saints of God will be That

ok, I need to stop and tell you guys why you are great. Wow. Really really great. I'll let everyone else tell you the usual stuff, great sound-- etc. But I will get to the important stuff, what makes you great? one word -- sincerity. You guys really simply sing your song. You don't get out in front of the message. I just heard you do this song for the Charles Stanley telecast. Tears came when you did that ending. I had to replay it over and over to see how you did it. I'm a musician, so I am fascinated when I hear a group nail the song. And when I say "nail" it, I do not mean "demand a standing O and bring all the attention to yourself." I mean that you sent home the message so that the tears came. I didn't say to myself when I hear it, "How great they are." I said, "How great it will be to meet them at home and celebrate this theme." So when I hear that and I'm in tears, I have to back it up, hear it again, over and over, so I can see how they did that. And I saw it all -- you guys are great. You brought the whole thing to a climax when you broke from the rhythm and almost stopped at the end of "sing of his grace and glory." That got us on the edge of our seats. Then a few unison notes , "where the saints of God" and back into harmony. But it was that very quick breath after "that sounds like home" -- just a quick breath, I had to look very close to even see it. (It's very difficult to take a breath when you don't need one) And that gave you the ability to keep us holding our breath while you did that 5 chord ending. And you just watched us come to tears. Wow What a blessing. You guys are great. All I have to say is -- don't stop. Keep it going. And I'll see you on the other side. God bless you

The lyrics here and other places seem to be incorrect in the second verse. The performance here has the correct lyrics.
