Blake Edwards’ acceptance speech & brilliant scripted entrance on a wheelchair grabbing his Oscar are epic! No other can ever top that! Love Julie, the look of love need not be spoken! Rare to find in Hollywood, this couple so down to earth & madly in love!

Nobody realises how amazing and what a visionary Blake Edwards is. Simply because no one has ever watched the Pink Panther of old, with the great Peter Sellers. It really isn't fair.

It infuriates me how many times his films were cut down by the studio: Wild Rovers (originally over 3 hours long), Star (originally 181 minutes), and Darling Lili (originally 190 minutes). He would satirize the studio system that constantly cut his films down in the film S.O.B.

...Best Oscars entrance ever. XD For one of the most "serious" nights on TV, that was absolute brilliance, even if Carry overplayed the moment a little too much. And what an acceptance speech from the man himself, definitely taken from the bottom of his heart. We will miss you forever, Blake Edwards. I sincerely hope that your films - both those with and/or without Sellers in the lead role - will make at least a few in every future generation laugh at some of the greatest comedy in existence. :3 And to all you uneducated, mouth-breathing haters: go jump in a lake, you nincompoops.

This is not a comedy show. It is the academy awards. This man has written, directed & produced wonderful films.Look up what he has done and find his work. He is a Hollywood legend especially as a director. Give people credit where credit is due. If it is something you have no talent or interest in, you should find the positive in everyone (including yourself)& figure out what you are good at. Bad words about some/one/thing you know nothing about is a stupid stance to take.
