You can say what you want but I genuinely loved Carrey's Riddler. Yes his tone was more comedic, but the underlying tone of tragedy remained there. If he toned the comedic level down just a little bit and had a descent Batman film to star in, he could be a fantastic Riddler. (Think Arkham City.)

Monday, September 12, 2016--6:24 am CST I liked Frank Gorshin's version of "The Riddler". I remember watching the "Batman" TV series, and the 1966 version of the "Batman" movie. I always liked Frank Gorshin's laugh when he played "The Riddler". I also loved Jim Carrey's version of "The Riddler" for "Batman Forever".

@missburtondepp Johnny Depp doesn't fit to be the Riddler... at least if you're into the Batman universe the same way I am. Johnny Depp is a good actor - I just don't think he would fit as the Riddler.... AT ALL. I honestly don't think he would fit as any Batman character whatsoever; no matter how good he acts.

No. Clooney's film is the second (though no sane person would acknowledge its existence). Carrey stars in Schumacher's first film. Which wasn't ENTIRELY bad. Not ENTIRELY...

FFS Jim Carrey would not make a better joker than Heath Ledger. Jim Carrey isn't a 'good' actor, he is just himself at all times in a comedic role. Ever seen him do a good drama.. he only has 1 gear. Heath Ledger was able to bring a dark evil genius kind of role to the table. There is absolutely no way Jim could have had anywhere near as intense of a scene as Heath did.
