JIM CLARK RALLY 2024 - THE CAR KILLING WATER SPLASH, CRASHES & MORE! (Day 1)

Yesterday was day 1 of the Jim Clark rally in Duns, Scotland! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
Starting with shakedown in the morning, then onto the evening stages! A very unfortunate police officer was the first of many to be claimed by the water splash (all OK of course) and that set the theme for the night! Some major stage delays left me in the woods until around half 11 last night, not ideal with another 2 days of rallying to come! 😅
Excited for today (Saturday)! keep your eyes on the Channel for more! 🔥

That copper could have made much more light of his spill by taking a bow for the crowd!! 🤣 Glad to see that the Fiesta R5 temporary victim of the splash carried on, and it did not result in rally ending, terminal hydro-lock. 🙂👍 I wish that we had tarmac events like this in the states (we just barely have gravel rallying! 😞), with this many R5/Rally 2 level cars on the start list! You don't even realize how fortunate you are over there to be able to witness these events live, in person.

That splash claimed a few cars over the weekend! 😬 For sure, I think a lot of people (myself included) sometimes take what we have in the UK for granted, purely because of what we’ve had & lost, we don’t appreciate what’s in front of us! That being said I’d love to come over to the US and experience a round of the ARA! 🇺🇸

@@NightingaleRallyMedia Sadly, the two National ARA events I used to work/volunteer on (NEFR, STPR) are both gone, possibly forever, and the next nearest ARA rally to me is about 11 hours away! ☹

@LS1conehead WOW! 11 Hours?! There’s me complaining about a 8.5 hour journey to Scotland on the weekend! 😧 Hopefully they bring it back, or at least something closer! I’ve never understood why there’s no tarmac events in the US? 🤔

Brilliant all the time spent training and falls off in a water splash 👏, surly he must have known that cobbles and water don't mix well, and the copper in the back ground dipping his head no one could tell me different he wad pissing himself laughing, you can see it, have another look
