Yeah man anything that accentuates the fact that it’s a fake fight is great! Anything that takes it farther and farther away from realism. Tell mommy to bring some hot pockets down to the basement for me too.

The guy employed by one of the two major organization he's talking about must be Chuck Taylor (currently on the ROH roster). Unless there was another grenade spot at one point lol

Andrew Bowyer Cool, had no idea he was there. No doubt, he must have been talking about Ciampa since he knows him well.

For an indy show selling out a 400 person arena is not the worst attendence, I mean I have been to indy shows with a whopping 15 people in attendence. Yeah never going to make any money with just that, but someone is liking it apparently.
@timf74135 жыл бұрын
in all fairness, PWG could likely sell out bigger venues at this point, they just keep their traditional venue because they like the atmosphere of the room and making as much money as possible isn't really the point for them.

Jim Cornette talking indirectly about keeping kayfabe, but he's the one that really exposed the business after screwing Bret Hart on Wrestling with Shadows.
@SomewhereinBroward4 жыл бұрын
@Joey G Cornette claims himself that the screwjob was the biggest destroyer of kayfabe. What Anthony Rivera missed is the fact that he did not intentionally do the screwjob. Vince told him to give him a screw finish and he gave Vince the screwjob. He said himself that Vince seemed to not like the idea and that he did not expect it to actually be used.
@MrJadePinwheel4 жыл бұрын
There’s a difference between breaking kayfabe on a show or podcast , and doing it live in the ring. One is like a behind the scenes documentary, and the other is the actual movie

When they do the slomo spot and the entire crowd acts slomo also, you can't argue that they have read the room correctly... Gimmicks like this are a rare treat for long time fans that have seen everything done to death already (drinking match, 1v1 invisible man match or matches like Kota vs the doll, can be very entertaining so long as it's not done regularly). The occasional batshit crazy idea is part of why wrestling is fun and not everything has to scale to a mainstream audience to be worth doing. As for the point about old footage, again only the hardcore fans would likely ever seek it out. Obviously don't book an invisible man in a rumble, that's just foolish. As a fan, my main concern (asides from not wanting to see any injuries) is simply, "did I have fun"?

So for yet another reason A.J. Styles mentioning that one of his opponents partnered with Street Profits might be "invisible" is eerily reminiscent of a certain guy from Memphis?😂B.W.

Rick and Mitty and wrestling have completely du fee rent audiences lol and the main part wrestling audience waht to see serious stuff and not goofy over the top ridiculous like a freakin invisible grenade which might “entertain”some people but has a little sealing but never will get major figures and pull big audiences and make a joke and mockery of the business..
