Another good example of wrestling is Survivor Series 96. A talented wrestler has been gone for months and months. What is he going to be like when he returns? Especially facing a man he has never faced before? It's likely he's going to win, but how much of a fight will the other guy give him? In that match people were looking at Stone Cold just as much as the Hitman. I loved it. And it wasn't even the best match those guys had against each other. That's what keeps you watching wrestling.

I've been a fan of pro wrestling since i was a kid growing up in the 80's, during the Hogan, Savage, Warrior era. Waking up on Saturday mornings for cartoons that ended with Superstars of Wrestling, & Wrestling Challenge on Sundays. The first mania I ever watched from start to finish was WM VI in Toronto. So I was really into this stuff from the late 80s and into the 90s and no one could make me believe back then that it was fake, that it was scripted. Just like Miz today, back then Cornette was really good at making you hate him. So good. So of course now, I'm an adult, a hard working man and a father, still a fan and I understand how the wrestling industry works, and I have seen how much it has evolved since those "territory" days. And I LOVE seeing the performers, the stars, being real when the cameras & lights are off. It makes it so much easier to appreciate and respect them.

His SMW was a decent product. It had its limitations but it was well presented, well-lit and professional looking. I would've loved to have seen Cornette with a Tony Khan budget.

And get even FOR YOU is the most important part - that pathos. Because everybody, on some level, feels like they're disrespected and the little guy.

Well explained. I wish Jim could have kept it together with the NWA.

Why this man is not in the WWE wrestling Hall of Fame is beyond me.

Well if you asked Jim, he'd probably tell you his best years of his career were outside the WWE and it doesn't make sense for him to be the WWE's Hall of Fame.

That loud bass at the end make my eardrum wanna beat the shit out of my speakers. I love Jim Cornette's accent tho, I always become focus when someone talking with this accent whether a man or a lady. Which American accent is this?

Say what you want about Cornette, he's correct. That said, people are giving modern wrestlers way too much crap

It’s so sad that this has to be said, not for the fans sake but for the sake of the guys in the ring these days

Jim Cornette was a heel his entire career, but is there anyone who doesn't like Jim Cornette in real life? Just like Freddie Blassie, the worst bad guys in the ring were often the most enjoyable to be around in real life
