AEW is the definition of just because the wrestling is good, if you don't care about the wrestlers/characters, the matches mean absolutely nothing. Imagine tuning into Dynamite and the first match is Edge Vs. Penta, you give it like 5 minutes because Penta matches are mostly the same and this one felt no different, so you change the channel and come back 25 minutes later, and IT'S STILL GOING ON. Completely agree with Brian But another point is DANHAUSEN He's healed but not being used and through 2022 and 2023 and now this year he has been ONE OF IF NOT their best merch seller, his likeness pushed many DLC units for the Video Game but Tony cause he is still upset with punk wasn't using him so he went back to the Indys....and now it looks like after that Danhausen might be on his way to WWE Think of that in 2021 a gimmick that never would have worked or got over in the Big W, made merch sales and became a huge name and outsold his contemporary except for CM punk and MJF AND FOR THAT he's punished without being booked

Uncle Dave defended this by saying, they are still # 3 on the list..... In other words, even when things on other TV stations sucked so much when a lot of people didn't bother watching other programs, they STILL chose not to watch AEW and their numbers still fell down. And for Uncle Dave it's a "win". 😂😂😂😂

This is the reason why we're having this Young Bucks storyline right now. 20:56 So glad to hear someone say this. I'm really sick of people saying that this is the best work of Christian's career. It's a lame gimmick and the only reason smarks love it so much is because he says the F word and they're enamored with swearing.
@ravenlit5 ай бұрын
Well, tbf most of AEW's fans only _just_ hit puberty, so anything remotely "adult" and "risque" is going to give 'em those butterflies in the stomach. "OH HE TOLD EDGE TO GO F*** HIMSELF!" OHHHHHHHHHHHHH... Yeah, with the kind of love Adam had coming in, I certainly didn't want to see Christian stay heel. I thought that the reek of awesomeness would compel Christian. Instead, we got...what? How many matches between them? Is that feud even a thing still? Everybody's got a price, I guess. I remember watching that match between Adam and Christian where they traded hockey jerseys or whatever, and I had to go watch the World Championship match between Edge and Undertaker from _WrestleMania XXIV_ like, three times, just to get the bad taste out of my mouth. Never again.
@firstnamelastnamesb5 ай бұрын
@@ravenlit The feud was weird. It started, Christian won, then Edge won the rematch and basically got MITB'd by Killswitch/Luchasaurus to give Christian the belt back, then Edge left Christian alone for like two months to do "dream matches" with no buildup like most of the roster does while Christian fought Daniel Garcia for some reason, then the feud resumed and Edge won and it ended, with Christian going on to be a filler challenger for Swerve (who we all know is just keeping the belt warm for Willy until Wembley) and Edge going on to cut the "Everything is fine" promo after the Punk interview, coining the "AEW is where the best wrestle" slogan that everyone in the company says now, and having this awful feud with the House of Black and more heatless "dream matches".
@ravenlit5 ай бұрын
@@firstnamelastnamesb I do appreciate your efforts here to make chicken soup out of chicken sh**. It's just sad to see how many of these guys sacrificed their integrity for Khan's dollars. Y'all could have taken your WWE money and gone home, but no. At least Cody and Punk had the sense to get out when they realized they'd been sold a bill of goods and the company wasn't actually what they were told it was. When your product makes me want to watch _The Best of Gillberg,_ or even the marriage of Uncle Elmer on _Saturday Night's Main Event_ on a 29-hour repeat, you reeeeally need to either let the Titanic sink or buy yourself The World's Strongest Bilge Pump. Honestly, at this point, the best thing Tony could do would be to write down a year's worth of what he genuinely thinks is the greatest wrestling ever produced, and then do the precise opposite. Or release all the good talents so they don't get hurt and then hire Vince Russo.
@firstnamelastnamesb5 ай бұрын
@@ravenlit Russo would absolutely be a step up from Tony Khan. Sure his writing was awful, but it was at least an entertaining kind of awful. The kind of garbage people could watch ironically and laugh at. AEW's brand of terrible is just boring and monotonous. Like, MJF vs The Devil actually felt like a Russo angle at the start, but even Russo would've had the common sense to change plans after Adam Cole's injury, much less MJF's. Tony Khan wasted a good 4-6 months of buildup on television for a feud between two guys that were injured before things could even actually start.
