Thats what it is. I keep seeing ppl insist he must be booking it or that he's on the payroll but that can't be true, nobody's that good an actor for starters and he seems awfully genuine about it. It is literally bc they're his favorite wrestlers and he can't reconcile his love for them with the reality of how over they are (or lack thereof) so he has to pretend and make up excuses and defend AEW to the death. Blame the viewers for not watching the amazingly underrated masterpiece of a product. Its *our* fault. AEW is great (🔔); we just don't get it. Quite frankly I don't *wanna* get it. I won't even go out of my way to watch WWE and my favorite wrestler of all time just returned to work there again after a decade away; why would I watch the company that chose Jungle Jackoff over Punk?

Will Ospreay recently showed more concern over the low ratings than Tony Khan has. While Will said that they need to do better, Tony has conformed to the low ratings, and even stated that some shows would kill for their ratings. It says something that a wrestler would show more concern about improving ratings and attendance than your promoter/booker/owner

Hobbs and Wardlow both messed up their knees. As obese steroid meat mountains, who couldn't even see their homeostatic zone with a telescope, are wont to do. Keith Lee is injured, nobody seems to know how or why exactly. Hasn't wrestled since December 2023. Miro supposedly is back home in Bulgaria, after his marriage fell apart. Don't know if that's true or not (the Bulgaria part). He also hasn't wrestled since December. Starks seems to be on Tony's shitlist because of that live promo the Boy Wonder and Jericunt didn't like. He had to deal with false rumours about himself, _allegedly_ generously provided to the "wrestling media" by _you-know-who_ (sounds familiar? Have a muffin from Mindy's Bakery!). He probably gets ghosted until his contract expires, as per the Tiny Khan way. His tag team partner is Jericunt's lackey now, so that's done. No more Bill and Ricky. I think a number of the women are injured. Hayter is severely injured, long-term. Lost the women's title in three minutes at "Double Or Nothing 2023" to get her off the shows. Julia Hart is out and needs shoulder surgery. Riho just broke her arm on Saturday, live on "Collision". Shafir, Valkyrie, Starkz, Diamante, Rose, and Blue are in ROH. Abadon was there too, but hasn't wrestled since May. Ruby Soho is on maternity leave. Tay Melo is a mom - and her husband is on Tony's shitlist for caving Jeff Hardy's face in and being an insufferable loudmouth and locker room cancer. Penelope Ford unfortunately had a miscarriage and it's not clear if she will ever wrestle again. CJ Perry is not in Bulgaria, presumably. No idea what she's up to. Probably some "influencer" bullshit.

Here's another example of Uncle Dave not even trying anymore to hide his bias towards AEW. He ripped apart and criticized WWE's woman MITB match for being very sloppy and multiple botched spots in first 5 mins and then in the SAME show only mins later, he was told about AEW's women match being bad and they botched all first three spots in a row. Uncle Dave: "Hmmm" 🤐🤐🤐🤐 Yup, that's right! Uncle Dave literally didn't say a single word about that but 'Hmmm' followed but dead silence and then they quickly moved onto next match which he started with "But that was a GREAT match!".

Wrestlenomics have just put out an article on the 6 month trend for the first 6 months of 2022, 2023 and 2024 as comparisons - and something that stands out is that for Raw, Smackdown and NXT the viewership has stayed about the same at 1.73, 2.32 and 650k respectively... but AEW has taken huge drops! Dynamite has gone from 958k in 2022, to 881k in 2023 and 761k in 2024 for Dynamite and Rampage has gone from 508k to 424k and is now on 346k... AEW Neckbeards and Tony Khan can lie to themselves and say there's nothing wrong but the numbers don't lie. If WWE can largely maintain their audience levels year on year, while AEW is haemorrhaging viewers, then they are doing something wrong.
