For a quick example TNA who was around forever and around when wrestling was way more popular never did over 100k buys and are does every single time with there last one doing just over 200k. What they have accomplished in under 3 years no one thought was possible. So no they are not struggling. If they can maintain where they are which will be hard they will be around for along time. Anything around 1 million on a Wednesday night on TBS is amazing numbers more importantly the 18 to 49 demo is all the network really cares about they don't care about the million number they care about the demo that's how you sell to advertisers which is how you make money on TV

Some of them are justified due to having outside means of income that rely on their image. Malakai Black and Seth Rollins have clothing lines that mesh with their on-screen characters so a major change in character could clash with what they sell.
