He uses his money in an attempt to gain the respect of wrestlers and fans alike. That’s why you’ve got guys like Cesaro making like $4 million a year in AEW. It was a nice gesture but it was an empty gesture.

instead of spreading conspiracy theories about Kevin Sullivan harming the Benoit family (a theory that is extremely inaccurate, hurtful and disrespectful), I wanted to highlight that Kevin Sullivan really respected Nancy Benoit for her wrestling mind. Despite their marriage not working and escalating to a physical altercation, he still has been nothing but respectful about his ex wife’s contributions in wrestling. Kevin Sullivan even said on Corny’s podcast that Nancy should be in the Hall of Fame as the OG Diva and for her influences in wrestling costume design.

Kevin Sullivan and his run in Florida changed the wrestling business forever. He resurrected the careers of Mark Lewin and Bob Roop and gave us Luna Vachon. Without the Sullivan Army, no Raven’s Flock, Ministry Of Darkness, or Wyatt Family. The Varsity Club are possibly the most underrated stable in wrestling history. Him, Rotundo and Steiner were wrestling’s version of the Three Stooges.

Jimbo could've taken the profits from his KZbin channel from the past month & easily paid off the entire $20,000 goal himself if he was truly a "friend" of Sullivan's. Pretty pathetic actually how he's pretending to be hurt by the news & talking about how much Sullivan means to him & his career. By many accounts, Khan is supposed to be a genuinely nice person. Even Corny himself thanked him after the Bobby Eaton has passed (with AEW having a graphic and tweets, despite Eaton having never worked there in any capacity), literally saying: “Tony Khan is not a horrible human being, we may see way far apart on wrestling and a variety of issues but that was a cool thing to do Tony. So I hope somebody will deliver that message to him.” As weird as it may sound, at the end of the day, when we're literally talking about people in serious medical condition or worse, it is "just wrestling" (as in: no matter how much Khan and Cornette seem to disagree on the whole philosophy etc., some things are still more important).

Kevin Sullivan is the man who got me into watching wrestling when I was 12. His Prince of Darkness character in FL was intriguing, and my dad used to take me to the Tampa Armory to watch him. I had a random chance to meet him and Fallen Angel while shopping in a store with my parents at 14 (they were shopping, too… not a meet and greet), and they took the time to talk with me. 2 years ago I got to have a nice conversation with him at an independent show in Seminole, FL. The least I could do was join the long list of people who donated to his GoFundMe, even if I couldn’t give near as much as others. He’s such a cool, pleasant man in person. I wish him well and a full recovery.

My grandfather last year went in for back surgery and got an infection on his toe and had a combination of a blood infection and sepsis. He started suffering delirium and has no memory of the entire thing. He was in the hospital for 6 weeks straight then came home and couldn’t function or walk then had to go back because he kept falling and not remembering things. They then kept him for 2 more months. He’s 77. Finally they got him in remission after 3 1/2 months. He’s home and has been healthy (mostly, he still has a slight limp but mentally he’s all good). He has no memory of the entire ordeal. Needless to say, it’s all no joke. You can survive but it takes a lot and you have to be mentally tough/stubborn enough to survive through it.

I remember growing up a wrestling fan in Philly, which was an NWA & WWF town and a few territories aired on tv there (AWA, World Class, UWF) and since I was a big Apter mag fan as a kid, I used to read about territories that didn't air in my area, the main one being Florida and i'd read these articles about Kevin Sullivan and his faction with Mark Lewin, Fallen Angel, and Bob Roop, and they'd usually have photos to go along with it and I was fascinated with his character because I had never seen anything like it before. Then I remember my best friend, also a wrestling fan, went to visit family in Florida and brought back a tape of some Florida episodes he recorded (about a year before Kevin started with Crockett) so I finally got to see him in action during his feud with the Windham family. Kevin Sullivan was pretty much the inspiration behind every modern day "cult/dark character" gimmick from Raven to the Wyatt Family to House of Black. Sending my well wishes to Kevin Sullivan and thanking him for all he's contributed to the business.

Same. And very curious it was something that had NEVER been brought up before....especially from her sister....who had done several interviews about it (including a long interview on Jericho's podcast). Same sister who also apparently thought a worked fight between Benoit and Sullivan in a hallway was a shoot. Also, during the time in question, Sullivan and Nancy weren't living together....only time they would have been in the same place was at WCW....somehow they're telling me he hit her hard enough to give her a black eye and NO ONE there ever heard, saw or noticed anything about it and never said anything about it for two decades? I think so many people involved with that doc were friends with Benoit they wanted to deflect a bit of heat from him.

I never saw much of Kevin Sullivan's in ring work other than in ECW and in WCW. I liked his character and he could do a good promo but I wasn't a fan of his in ring stuff. Maybe his earlier in ring work was a lot better and smoother? I thought the double stomp looked like a weak finisher. But I enjoyed his teaming up with Tazmaniac and the Dungeon of Doom stuff was cheesy goofy but fun. I pray he recovers from sepsis

I say this with the utmost ♥️. Anytime I see Kevin Sullivan in an interview, I can't help but think of my Grandpa Ray. They surprisingly look similar and they both have this roughness to their voice when they're speaking to you. I hope Kevin recovers quickly and can go home. It's especially true when you're not feeling well or going through something that there really is no place like home.

Kevin Sullivan made a huge impact on the business. He was a great mastermind of psychology of wrestling & different gimmick matches. He was a great booker & worker. He was a great amateur wrestler in Boston in his younger years. Hope he gets better.

@Bale4Bond way to assume and make an ass of yourself, Kevin Sullivan had nothing to do with Chris murdering his family. But Kevin Sullivan over the last 10+ years that I've known him, has been at best a cowardly bully and at worst, is a child predator.

Kevin Sullivan’s run in Florida (82-87, I think) was pretty incredible. Great heel stable. Dude was totally believable as the cult leader. My Mom would leave the room when Sullivan came on tv during CWF on Saturday nights. “That man is evil!” 😂
