At Mark Curtis Memorial Reunion show, Mick Foley claimed that a rival promoter, later alleged to be Terry Landell, had torn down flyers promoting the charity show which Foley called "a new all-time low for pro wrestling". The show drew surprisingly small crowd of 350 on 5/5/05 at Freedom Hall in Johnson City, TN.

@@Abb0ttC4t He's not. He's a complete idiot. He's also a bail bondsman and my buddy worked at Knox County jail for a long time and everyone down there hated him. LOL! I've met him a couple of times and when I was a teenager at a wrestling event he cussed me and one of my buddies that was an adult asked him if he wanted to start something and he swore he didn't say anything to me. Of course it was a complete lie but looking back maybe it was just him trying to keep kayfabe. I WILL say though that he used to host a show on local cable access called Wrestle Talk and it was COMEDY GOLD! I mean Must See TV for the ages! Had Corney used this whole thing as a gimmick, Smokey Mountain would still be in business and bigger than WWE! LOL!

How old is this interview? I met Jim Cornette in Knoxville about 5 years ago, so this must be older than that. Fascinating story, though
