these are my favorite segments. to hear Corny try to put it together and come up with the town and year is just fun to listen to.

If the program says "Hands of Stone" Ronnie Garvin, the contest should be correctly guessing how many wrestlers were punched to death that night.

In the 80’s and 90’s while Greg Gagne was with the AWA the Minnesota Twins had a shortstop with the name Greg Gagne (Gag - knee). Always found that crazy.

Vital part of the 1987 and the 1991 World Series Champion Minnesota Twins teams I believe. I have a lot of Greg Gagne baseball cards. Kirby Puckett was the unquestioned hero of those teams though. What an incredible hitter Kirby was.

Chief Chewacki wrestled towards the end of his career as "Chief Chewchki". Chewacki worked as a Romany Gypsy, but as Chewchki he was billed as being a Native American. That very last card mentioned is on the WWE-Peacock network, or at least most of the show is.

Johnny Rivera was Invader # 3 and Johnny Rodz was Super Medic # 2. Super Medic # 1 was Jose Estrada of WWWF fame. Jose Gonzalez fought Brody in a great number of matches. They also wrestled as a tag team.

There were arenas that would manipulate their start/end times to encourage families to go to local restaurants. Baseball teams in the 70s and 80s would start at 7:30 instead of 7:00 to give families more time to eat before the games, and the games back then only lasted 2:00 hours or 2:30 hours. Sunday matinees were encouraged to end around 5:00, so you would go directly to supper.

Lenny Montana (who played Luca Brasi in the first Godfather movie) wrestled as "Chief Chewacki" for a time, but he was not the same "Chief Chewacki" being mentioned here.

What’s funny about mispronouncing Verne’s last name is Verne’s son Greg. If you mispronounce Greg’s last name like Jim & Brian did, then you could be talking about Greg Gagne who used to play shortstop for the Minnesota Twins.

Thank god for KZbin clips. A couple months ago i was on vacation and didn't listen to any of the podcasts and i gotta say that it was refreshing. Jim spends most of his time pissing and moaning about the "good old days" that actually sound just awful. Complaining about modern technology, complaining about politics, whining about this or that. Rambling on about his crappy website and insulting his own sponsors while Brian drops references ti his gardener and maid. Like a serious amount of the show is easily skipped. Also for a man in his 60's that claims to be as far left as he does jim is heavily racist, sexist and overall incredibly childish.
