I think one of the root problems with Vince Russo, based on what I got from his comments on this episode, is that he fundamentally thinks that none of this matters. In his view, it's wrestling. And therefore, not important. Not worth taking seriously. And so, when people in the business who do take it seriously (Like Jim, like Jarrett) step up to him, he can't see them as legitimate people, they have to be morons who think wrestling's real. Russo is the type of person who can't understand why people mourn the deaths of celebrities they've never met because he can't understand how a performance can be emotionally effecting and stick with a person for a long time. They finally had enough and relieved him of his duties putting Kevin Sullivan in charge of a booking committee. Famously this cost WCW of Benoit, Guerrero, Malenko and Saturn who all walked because they hated Sullivan.
