@@shawngreenidge3591 And Harley Race. To be fair, they weren't wrong. Especially as he pushed into the 90's, many, if not most of Flair's matches were pretty much a skit. However, all you needed to do was look at his several matches with Ricky Steamboat, Barry Windham, Bret Hart, Randy Savage, and Terry Funk to realize he was capable of far far more. It's just that most of the time he didn't have to. He did the Ric Flair match much like Hulk Hogan did the Hogan match; because it was what sold tickets.

AEW was *amazing* for a few years. When the Trampoline children from Caifornia brought in the "Bad Brothers" (who've never entertained anybody) and decided to kiss men on TV every week while trying to steal Michael Hayes' shtick in 2021, that was it. Solomonster was actually crying about that whole interview and he said "Imagine if Bruno Sammartino told Austin to not use vulgar language to get over" and his argument was that Austin would have gotten angry. If Austin was in a position like that, he would have verbally destroyed Sammartino, unlike Ambrose than can't barely cut a promo, let alone respond to valid criticism. The interview was thought to put Ambrose over, yet he really does not know how television or marketing works. If he would have took advantage of the situation he would've turned into a megastar, but he lacks it.

I refuse to watch garbage so I skipped this match. However, that is not Evil Uno's fault. I like Evil Uno, he's a good promo, a good manager or third wheel to a group. He has something. Why he chooses to wrestle shirtless boggles my mind. Wear the vest, keep the look tight. Problem is with this match is Evil Uno means nothing, Dark Order means nothing. Whatever post Brodie Lee passing energy they had was wasted and dissipated years ago. Johnny Hungy, who was over and has a good gimmick, is paired with a charisma vacuum put a blue dot on his head goofball in Reynolds. So they can never get over, they will be job squad for life. TK could have put Preston Vance or The Butcher with Johnny Hungry, make a more believable team of big-little man, maybe even lean into the comedy aspect of Hungy. No, better keep with him blue dot head Reynolds. So this match meant nothing, because the participant meant nothing. As for Bleeder, he means about as much as Dark Order at this point and I've become accustomed to fast forwarding any segment or match he is in.

Just not many in AEW . I can say the same for Mox . When John first left WWE he went to Japan , wore tights and did actual good wrestling believe it or not ! It didn't last long . Which always pissed me off because I liked THAT Moxley ! He was a serious badass BUT he wrestled ! I wish he would've stayed that guy , then pull out the hardcore brawling and bleeding when he needed to . But that ship has sailed ! I kinda liked the Dean Ambrose “Lunatic Fringe” character in WWE. I think they could have done more with it. Moxley in AEW though… is there a match where he doesn’t bleed? I now make bets- how long into the match before Moxley bleeds? I’m surprised he still does that; I know he did the garbage “death match” wrestling, but that was before WWE. The guy was out for almost a year because of a MRSA infection. I don’t think I would risk getting another one of those, slicing my forehead open twice a week.

Honestly thought Uno gave Moxley one of the better 5 or so minutes of a match until the really flat ending which was a typical Moxley finish. The physique was shockingly bad but other than that slapping Mox the week prior and having a brutal short collision was better than expected by a mile

This storyline could of been fine, it's not, it's awful. Moxley went from being the guy in the Shield who looked like he could be a star, to guy that looks like crap and wrestles like a crack addict. My favourite part of this whole storyline is where Hangman is cutting yet another promo about wanting to beat Moxley when the Dark Order come from nowhere and Uno starts treating Hangman like he's their bitch. Who the fucks books like this?

Please give Pizzeria some credits. How many 1200 lbs-guys have you ever seen doing a Swanton to the outside *lol* Seriously. Of course it was for the Mox-Hangman-Feud but I don´t mind, if in a weekly for once in his life an beneath-guy also gets a spot in the Main Event. He worked the style Mox wants to do, so it might be forgotten next week anyway.

You know when the commentators get physical as well, and even have feuds matches on PPV? JR has even done it a few times. I dare Tony, in the cynical way possible, to book Excalibur in a feud leading to a PPV match. The rants from Jim and Brian, as a result, would just be an added bonus.

Look at Cody dude looks shredded in wwe in aew he had a belly. Compare Dean ambrose big arms in wwe compared to the skinny limbs they are now. This all falls on tony khan not being an actual boss and getting the most out of his talent.

I know that one of Evil Uno's wishes for the near future was to start wrestling without a shirt on again. I'm a HUGE guy, not in the fit sense either. But, the fact that he finally did it means a lot. Is he Brian Cage? No. But, we've seen Rick Flair without a shirt on more times than my therapist cares to recall. I'm glad that he got the confidence to go out there and do it.

I dunno man, I'm a fat guy too and it kinda pissed me off that this guy gets paid to be athlete and doesn't really seem like he's trying to pretend to be an athlete. If I got paid to wrestle and part of my work schedule is literally supposed to be working out, I'd be in a lot better shape than Uno is. Hell, I'm already in better shape than Uno is and I sit at a desk most of the day.
@TheAtlantaThrasher
@TheAtlantaThrasher Жыл бұрын
@@revment I would say that most people in their current jobs don't strive to be the best at their current jobs. So, I'm not going to judge. Also, I heard in a documentary about Yokozuna that he actually strived to be the heaviest wrestler. Most of us remember Dusty Rhodes and the Big Boss Man fondly. During much of their careers, Evil Uno was in better shape than they were. That's the beauty of wrestling. Vince wanted those comic book 7 foot tall supermen. That kept people like Eddie Guerrero down for years. Heck, even those guys who spend every second in the gym, like Brian Cage, can't get fully boosted to the top. He's putting in the reps. Why not him? Probably because he's missing something. We all like to be arm chair coaches. But, if we honestly look in the mirror, our bosses get what they pay for. Many of us aren't going to life a finger more than we have to, because that's what our contract/job descriptions are.
@revment
@revment Жыл бұрын
@@TheAtlantaThrasher Dusty had a charisma unmatched, Yokozuna was something else and he was imposing and beastly. Uno is neither of these things. You're also talking about a completely different era in wrestling. The modern-era is lead by actual athletes that strive to be at their peak form. Look at Gunther. He was a scary mean fat dude that could've stuck to it but he has become a prime athlete and his transformation has only made him more believable and intimidating. Gunther is putting guys like Uno to shame. If Uno doesn't tighten that shit up I don't see him ever evolving past his current role.
