First 5 things that need to change in WWE: 1. 2 man announce team 2. Give the wrestlers bullet points but let them shoot on the mic. 3. Make the moves you do in the ring count 4. Change the format of the shows once in a while and let a wrestling match start the show surprise your fans. 5. Keep the mcmahons and hhh off tv and only let them show up when need be so its special when they show up.

2. shoot what? Talking without a script isn't "shooting".

"Add the grapes - you know, chicken salad" - Jerry Jarrett "Spend my day working hard on the go But the hands on the clock keep spinning too slow Cause I can't wait to be alone with my baby tonight" - Jeff Jarrett You can't have bullet points and shoot. The bullet points are fake. The ad libbing therefore is fake too. Shooting means real. Real is real. You are misusing "shoot". You owe the smarks of the world and Jerry Jarrett an apology.

You can't "shoot" based on fictional bullet points provided by a writing staff. You're either talking about reality or you're not. Isn't that right Mr. Malik? Or do you think shooting is something else?

dwayne cox I agree, the a.j. Match I considered the main event and it was quite underrated. It petered out at the end. And the heel turn at the end was bizzare. I was like "is this still kayfabe "? But they are both top notch wrestlers.

we weren't asleep inside the dome as much we were distracted. There was a scene going on with several fans that were standing up and did not want to sit down. So security came over to tell them to sit and they didn't so then the cops showed up and they were still not complying so they got their ass kicked out. The fans in that section started chanting stuff and talking shit to them that totally distracted everyone. They were chanting nanana goodbye and other shit. Many people were confused as to why cuz they couldn't see what was going on while the match was happening. They fucking ruined an already underwhelming match lol!

I like cornette he is a great analyst and know his shit about the mechanics and psychology. But his stubborness and old school fanatism holds him back from the modern gimmicks. For example he cant figure out why rusev is over with the fans. He sounded like a grandpa at this moment

Arthur Daffos I think he can accept change, just good change. I don't get Rusev Day. I wanted them to leave Lana instead of maker her a wrestler which isn't her best suite (she looks good doing ANYTHING but best how she was). The WWE needs Jim and Bruce Pritchard back for creative. They can mixed GOOD new with their creative minds and Get The Rating Up Again!

That's been one of the biggest problems with WrestleMania the last few years, they try to fit pretty much everyone on the card and it's usually with pointless cookie cutter multi-man matches and battle royals. Now we have a men and women's battle royal at WM, and at the end of the day it's always pointless because it's literally just an excuse to get people on the card who aren't involved in any kind of angle whatsoever that the fans care about or are invested in. And even if you win it means nothing, just ask Cesaro.

I agree with Brian about Miz. Even in the HOF ceremony group pan he projects exactly the right level of Elizabethan emotional communication-not to the camera, mind you, but at the speaker. Good stuff, and I got the feeling he knew it. His promos are very good, because he's an actor first. His inring work ain't bad . . . just about on the Classic Heel level. Dunno if he's a safe worker, but it looks like maybe he is.

Agree 100% with the choreographed stuff. Main reason I dont watch wrestling anymore. It's just gymnastics. It does look kinda neat and all, but i don't feel its even trying to be "wrestling" anymore. Cornet nailed it about the Daniel Bryan match. I had started the Pay-Per-View 30 minutes late and was working from behind and I literally skipped about 7 or 10 minutes ahead as soon as Daniel Bryan went down before the match started. It just wasn't the type of heat that I was looking for and that return, so I skipped it.

This is where I don't like Cornette's bias. He gives Randy Orton a pass because hes a third generation wrestler. Give me The Miz over Randy Orton's apathetic ass any day. Is The Miz the greatest in ring worker? No, he isn't but at least he cares. I don't care that the Miz is a reality tv star because guess what? He cares more about wrestling than a third generation wrestler who you can tell is just there for a pay check. Orton's matches are identical, it's like punching a time clock for him. I never cared for him. I don't know what anyone could possibly see in him. Only highlight of his career is when he took the thumbtacks.
@PeterEhik
@PeterEhik 6 жыл бұрын
Truth is it's just a matter of skill, Randy Orton is the smoothest wrestler you'll ever see, nothing looks awkward and nothing is flashy for the sake of flashy, he's like Bret Hart without the submissions. And he does this without giving a shit half the time, he's just really talented. You watch Randy and you watch Miz and it's night and day, sure Miz has improved and he tries but you can't substitute workman like effort for pure talent.

Those camera-zooms they do now are quite annoying. When someone's getting some basic punches they zoom in and out quickly, and on some of the spectacular moves they do it and you can't see the execution properly.

Corny is the man! Most all of his ideas about what they should have done instead of what did do were great. That idea he had for the team of Shane & Daniel Bryan was so simple, but so great. If they had done what Corny said on here Daniel Bryan would have blown the roof off of the place. It would have been a classic Wrestlemania moment.

I disagree with Charlotte-Asuka. Match was great, but Asuka should've gone over. A lot of her mystique was removed when she lost her streak. Her whole "nobody's ready for Asuka" schtick has way less punch now that she's not immortal. Especially since Carmella came out the following night and swiped the title from Charlotte. Would've been a better story for Asuka to win and get ambushed by Carmella to steal the title then she builds up to get even.

Also the Universal Title needs a new holder, and Heyman needs a new client. My personal opinion.

Was I hearing things, or did the Mania crowd chant "This is awful" for the Lesnar-Reigns match?

They did. I don't think I have heard that before. Shows how bad it was.

Here’s a question. What was worse? Triple vs Roman? Or Brock vs Roman?
@ajk
@ajk 6 жыл бұрын
R.A.s Reviews + Depends which Brock/Roman match you mean. If you mean this one then this one was by far, but if you compare 31 to 32, it's closer. 31 actually had some drama to it, even prior to Seth cashing in. This just was flat and repetitive.

ajk I meant this one. I say this one was better than the 32 one. Because at least this didn’t put me to sleep when the blood spilled and the finish wasn’t predictable. Yeah the 31 match was easily better. Hell I rewatched that match the night before 34 and even before Seth’s cash in, it was a decent match. It felt like a war broke out and then the cash in made it legendary. This was just the standard Brock match that we saw at the rumble and no mercy.
@ajk
@ajk 6 жыл бұрын
Yeah I know you did, just being fair since they had two separate matches. Honestly too, the only things that made this one at all memorable were the blood (audible maybe?) and the finish. Otherwise it was crap. No creativity to it, unlike 31 (which I actually wanna go back to myself to compare it to this). Also 32 was SO LONG by main event too at over 5 hours for main alone so didn't help.

I understand Jim's concern that Cedric and Mustafa were a bit choreographed, but I do think that this is some of the Japanese influence in terms of fighting sequences. It's not new anymore so it doesn't captivate like it used to, but the idea is that missing a strike doesn't psychologically throw off the assailant, but instead, he's so good that he just instantly switches gears to defense and the next counter-offense. In the mid/late 90s, it was new and awesome, but I'm unsure about how much it works in pro wrestling.

Too many people past their prime wrestling at Wrestlemania is the problem. Do we still need the McMahons in matches? Daniel Bryan and the Undertaker should have already had their last WM matches. Brock Lesnar is borderline old news. These people need to make way for the newer ones.

Well they did keep Hulk Hogan headlining mania even after the fans got sick to death of him as evidenced by his royal rumble win in 1991 where as soon as he chucked Tugboat out of the ring and the bell rang the crowd started filing out of the building instead of watching him celebrate which is why they were switching between camera angles like mad in the last few minutes of the broadcast.

Totally agree with Cornette here. No need for EVERYONE to be at Mania. Give it a fast and furious 3 hours of action. If you aren't over enough to be on the card, then you just aren't over enough to be on it. And no need for a video of the rivalry before every match. We already know the history. Just get to it.

What this show solidified for me is that they aren't even TRYING to make sense at this point. They do whatever the fuck they want and they expect people to follow. Alignments don't matter, previous stuff doesn't matter.

I finally subscribed to WWE network, strictly for the VAULT. I have not watched a modern wrestling show or PPV since 2000. I have no interest in mania. I go to the Vault, currently on WCCW 1985
