I trully enjoyed Bill's publications in the 80's . They were a key instrument of Wrestling's success during that time. The best we've ever had. It was just fantastic.

1) Someone didn't fact check and wanted to get himself over. 2) REALLY? You forgot Mid-South, Wonderful Willie. 3) Cornette actually beat Baby Doll at some point? 5) Tully and Arn left the NWA, they were supposed to face the Midnights (not quite sure if 3 on 3) in the cage -- this became the backup main event. (Another of Cornette's NWA deep dives.)

I always wonder when they had that Feud midnight vs. Midnight why didn't they bring in Novell Austin as a substitute being that he was a original member and Dennis Condrey had to leave for personal reasons? Not saying Jake Victory didn't do a great job but that would have been a surprise to the fan if had Austin had a showed up.

That reminds me of when The Undertaker(wasn’t the Undertaker yet) came to Memphis and just flat beat Lawler down and busted him open, the match was called for blood loss and the eye being jacked up. Nobody thought Lawler was weak they thought the massive man he wrestled that just got of prison for double murder was a beast.

IDK why the west coast has no NWA history. Don Owens in Portland was one of the founding members of the NWA and the NWA champ came through periodically and put the belt on the line.
