Fellow Canadian CFP here. I've been into BTC for almost 5 years now and haven't hesitated to discuss it with clients where appropriate. Much of the industry in Canada is commission driven, and last I checked, BTC wasn't paying a trailing commission to the planners to sell it. :) I guess it underscores the importance of a true independent planner. I guess we are a rarity!

@@RobinSeyr Well, he is. Really a financial planner/life coach... But you surprised me by saying you don't have any opinion on Russian invasion... I hope it is not because you're taking seriously Russian bots in the comments. Or some American bitcoiners...some of them are unfortunately clueless about it. But maybe I envy you a little. I am depressed that we (meaning Western countries) haven't done anything to get rid of Putin's regime yet.

Bitcoin 200WMA price can be useful. Using 4% rule on 200WMA price of bitcoin and i think you could calculate how many bitcoin you need to have to retire, right now, conservatively by (your personal expense per year in fiat term x 25) / BTC 200WMA price = the amount of BTC you need to retire Let say your personal expense is 50,000 usd per year and BTC 200WMA now is around 40,000 usd (50,000 x 25) / 40,000 = 31.25 Conservatively, 31.25 btc to retire

The one thing missing here is how old you are…It’s different for a 25 year old to a 75 year old.
@pnc135820 күн бұрын
@@RobinSeyr That's surely a fair point. No matter what age you are, trying to die with 0 (or as close as possible) and be successful with it is indeed preferable and surely make retirement more doable when you have relatively older age since you need smaller size of principle. However, I doubt that we should take it as the first priority. IMHO, "It's always better to have something left over than to have something missing". Therefore, I believe we should be reasonably conservative as much as possible and let the left over be the legacy for later generation after we passed

Until bitcoin tops 150k with both momentum and durability, these feel good videos seem wildly optimistic, akin to a bedtime story for children. Even with all the fluff on the ETF muff, bitcoin has still not managed to set a new ATH in 2024. The world 🌎 of which these people speak is likely much further down the road than they will ever admit?
@SatoshiHODL20 күн бұрын
Actually, let's set the record straight: Bitcoin achieved a monumental all-time high on March 14, 2024. It shattered the previous milestone of $69,000, which itself was surpassed just days earlier on March 5, 2024. So, make no mistake-this is a definitive and official all-time high. Bitcoin didn't just tease the $69k mark; it decisively broke through and surged past $73k. This is a testament to Bitcoin’s unyielding momentum and its role as the digital asset of the future.
