We have enjoyed seeing Jim and Anne play in many different venues, here in Calif. and in Michigan. Every where they have played the audience loved them.

@Lazairus Thanks for your comment. Your right...he is not John Denver and has never pretended to be John Denver. He simply presents John's wonderful music to delighted audiences around the world. I did find your comment about the drummer very interesting though. His name is Richie Gajate Garcia...and he was John Denver's percussionist for several years. The guy playing the banjo is Pete Huttlinger, John's lead guitar player.

If you have not yet seen Jim Curry in concert, you have been missing a great performer. He has added several new shows across the country, including concerts with Performing Arts Centers and Symphony Orchestras. Look forward to performances with the Santa Rosa Symphony, Toledo Symphony, Pacific Symphony, Phoenix Symphony, Indianapolis Symphony, San Antonio Symphony, the Cincinnati Pops Orchestra and many others. For dates, locations and ticket info, check out his web site at JimCurryMusic com

The one verse was never in any of JDs songs and I have them all. Also his emotion of never being on grandmas feather bed comes thru. this was a real life experience for John. Curry you need to work on this one.

Yes, John never recorded the new verse. The song was written by Jim Connor (check the credits on all your albums). Jim Connor wrote the song, added the new verse, and is truly the one who experienced sleeping in his grandma's feather bed that the song was written about. Jim Connor and Mr. Curry have performed this song together on many, many occasions around the world. You may have given him a thumbs down, but as I recall the night of this particular performance, he got a huge standing ovation.

I think these semi-hateful comments about someone "not being JD" are somewhat specious: JD always meant for his stuff to be interpreted (which is what my band does) and there aren't many who can do it as well as Jim. Not to mention, having had the honor of Di Ireland play flute with me once, she's da BOM!
