The latest in our "Live On The Radio" series this features a four hour midday airshift by Jim Golden on WHBQ from May 8, 1980. It contains spots, promos and other features which give a snapshot of how the legendary Top 40 giant sounded as it neared the end of its long run as the market leader in Memphis. At the end of the video you will hear the voice of Steve Hatley, who died tragically in a motorcycle wreck in Arizona in 1984, as he prepared to come on the air at 3:00 for Afternoon Drive.
