To be fair, the one dude said that he hadn’t watched a lot of Purdue basketball, not NCAA basketball. There are dozens of teams worth watching, not to mention that they are a sports show doing a segment on NCAAM. They also have to watch NBA, the NCAAW, and maybe a bit of baseball even. Plus, I think Purdue has been underestimated this year because of past performance. I certainly didn’t take them as seriously as I should have.

I think Edey is more likely 7'2. More than likely shorter someone like KP. His picture with Wemby was pretty clear.

Measured 7’3.75” without shoes at the combine, so his height is legit.

He was averaging 32/19 on 72% fg in his last season in the CBA which is far superior to Edeys 25/12 but also need to take into consideration Edey has the disadvantage of only playing organized basketball for 6 years so he will be far less developed going into the NBA. He might need to get skinnier to become more mobile on defense and will likely take a few years for him to develop an outside shot but his FT% indicates that he might be able to learn how to shoot

I remember when Yao came in he was talking needing to bulk up 30 pounds He was actually a very good mid range shooter. But then it was still around the time they wanted him down low pounding the ball in which he became very good at that
