He does make that point about driving but ironically that's where it froze here after you said it and then unpaused. Crazy. It skipped over nearly half the stand-up.
@TeacherPaulReacts5 ай бұрын
We did go back like twice, but it kept freezing, then I had to edit that part out because it kept freezing, but I got that part of him saying he needed to go 30, right?

Yay Part 2 - he is such a clever comedian - such intelligent reasoning and comedy. That's true about any constitution and legislation, it can be changed and being a paralegal I understand everything is open to interpretation, especially when negotiating and that's where the smarter reasoning comes into play in a legal battle. I don't always agree with my principal, and life experience comes into play too. I strongly believe that whatever we've been through and you know I've been through the worst experience a mother could go through, but I have had to turn my anger and frustrations at our criminal legal system around for good use. And you were so right, Paul, we have to learn to laugh at ourselves. Aussies are good at that, but it can also mask something deeper going on. So, with anything, we have to strive for balance. I just watched a reaction to Forest Kindergartens in Denmark, which I didn't even know existed. I would highly recommend you have a look at it, especially as a teacher. They are so good and the children are so happy and learning life skills which I can see will really help with their formal education. Love to know what you both think of them. Sending some music through soon. ❤️ Deb

Haha the dude on the right is constantly "WHAT"? "WHAT"? and the one on the left is explaining it... This is more hilarious than the actual video 🤣

By the way... You skip back after talking, which is good... So why not after the right guy froze? You missed the whole fun bit, including "drive" topic.
@TeacherPaulReactsАй бұрын
we did skip back, but it froze again, then we skipped back again, and it froze again, so we edited that part out since it took long to come back. When the connection came back, we didn't skip back far enough to include that part here on the video, but I did see the drive part, it was just in between the freezing that was edited out 😢

im an australian and just wanted to point out a couple of things. i think most of the civilised world looks at the US and wonders what the fuck is wrong with them when it comes to guns. it makes no sense. there should be commonsense gun control laws in place to prevent anyone getting AR-15s. there is simply no need for them. most of the time, when there's a school shooting - these are the types of firearms used. we also have to realise though that the US has had this in place for such a long time and there's so many guns in the US that it'd be almost impossible to reverse gun ownership laws now. you could however prevent high-powered firearms from being available to anyone and everyone. there should be background checks and red flag laws at the least. i will concede though that it's not possible to turn it around - because you are in a situation where because of the amount of guns out there, they'll probably fall into the wrong hands. other western countries don't have massive amounts of gun crime and the general population simply don't need firearms. if something happens - you call the police. from an australian perspective though - back when the "gun ban" came into force - there wasn't a large amount of guns in the general population anyway. most guns were owned by farmers for using on their land to destroy vermin / pests. australia doesnt have a "gun ban" in place - it's just got very common sense gun laws. people do still own guns - you just have to go through a lengthy process to get one, including cooling off periods, installation of a safe for gun/s and ammunition and these are inspected by police. people who have previous criminal convictions can't get firearms licences and you need a valid reason to have one (personal protection is not one of them). these are generally for employment (ie armed security (armoured vehicles / cash collecting etc), for use on a farm, as a member of a gun club and a handful of other reasons. we don't have a high amount of gun crime at all. most gun crime is still committed using weapons obtained illegally - but the vast majority of the time the guns are used by criminals on other criminals. for instance organised crime gangs, bikie gangs, drug dealers etc.

Fellow Aussie here , agree with your other points, but I'd just like to debunk the 'too many guns already out there to ever go back' theory. Obviously nothing much could change overnight, but over time a similar auto , semi-auto ban to ours would find these weapons becoming exponentially harder to obtain for the generations to follow. Now for several reasons seemingly endemic to America I'm under no illusions that this would ever actually happen , BUT , any group of politicians COULD make the world a safer for their grandchildren or great grandchildren.
@LM-EntertainmentAustralia5 ай бұрын
@@dreadlord5581 yeah. fair point. i definitely agree with what you're saying - i just think that the attitudes of the people and the politicians are unlikely to ever change. i guess the best (but most terribly tragic) examples are sandy hook and uvalde - we all saw the mayhem and tragedy from around the world in those two incidents. for no changes to be made from there.. and no willingness even by the people to, i think it is unlikely to change. sure though, with the restrictions of certain calibres and types of firearms, things could be improved dramatically, but they just have that crazy amount of firearms amongst the people (more than the population (400+ million)) that i think it'd be hard to reverse it. a lot of those high-powered rifles simply wouldn't get handed in / destroyed.i hope i'm wrong and you're right and there's common sense change in the future. as you know, we all look on from the rest of the world in shock that this can happen and nothing to change, time and time again.
@TA-wg9oi5 ай бұрын
@@dreadlord5581 That's true. The Howard government made it safe for us here. I handed in 4 semi automatic rifles in 1996. Didn't bother me and now I know NO one that owns a firearm.... It also makes a mockery of America being 'land of the free' when the USA is probably one of the worst rich developed countries for 'freedoms', lifestyles and living conditions.

@CQuinnLady4 ай бұрын
@5.50..... Its all the same argument, slaves, guns, driving... change the subject but the story remains the same. Aussies, for the most part, think along the same lines as Jim Jefferies between part 1 n part 2. Our country isnt crime free, but we act to not let it happen again if possible. We also dont worry so much and become paranoid, we teach our kids to respect ownership, many dont, but even more do. Crims will ALWAYS find a way to get weapons, but generally they are only used on other crims.

Where do the guns in Brazil come from? yeah, good ol USA...
@dreadlord55815 ай бұрын
You reiterate several times that this (gun control) wouldn't work n Brazil. Well firstly, it is performed in -and directed at Americans. Secondly, it sort of does work there anyway. Unless it's just not reported internationally - you don't have a lot/any civilian massacres over there in the first place (and that could change if EVERYONE had easy access to guns) . And though yes your criminals have guns - I would hazard a guess that like most places around the world - they use them almost exclusively on each other.
