We need to stop with all the senior, and “has so much experience” if somebody’s a DAWG and looks good let them play!! Best player need to get on the field! Young DE and LB let them play!! We hype to man ppl up but look at the teams that win it all, if you’re good you PLAY!!!

Tackling is 25% technique 75% desire. Other than Curry, he dodged the questions about the other D linemen and their performance in this game. Then he got asked again and he still dodged it. The second stringers did play a fair amount and we’re not relevant. That’s a problem.

I agree. I didn’t see the tenacity we saw last year from the line and linebackers. Eichenberg was an animal last year.

Well looks like I'll be the first to leave a POSITIVE comment on this thread lol smh. Food for thought: I'm a father of two small children age 5 and 2, and I also taught middle school and high school math for four years. To my students, and to my own kids, I always say "I don't have to yell for you to take me seriously. I don't have to curse to gain your respect." A good father, a good teacher, and a good coach will show through his words, his actions, and his integrity how deeply he cares about the young people he is responsible for...how invested he is in their growth and development and greatness. "Fire" "energy" and "brashness" can get the job done, but they are not prerequisites. How about COMPETENCE? INTELLIGENCE? CONSISTENCY? RESULTS??? Can you not see Jim's impact and value as a coach simply by his results in not even three full seasons??? Can you not tell how incredibly intelligent this man is, even from the deliberate, thoughtful, calculated way he answers press conference questions??? He doesn't need to yell or curse to get players' attention or respect. He can break down and analyze their play, tell them to do something or change something ONE time and in a calm tone, and they'll fall in because they see the results on the field and know he truly cares about them and just wants them to be great! Knowles is a defensive genius...he has the coaching style of a "tactician" as it is called if you play Dynasty mode in the College Football 25 game 😎 Seems like all of y'all on here want a whole bunch of "motivators" - a coach room full of nothing but rah-rah, in your face, swearing, trash talking, head busters. Well look at how that's going for Colorado with Coach Prime and Warren Sapp and them 🤷🏿‍♂️ Coach Day is WISE for putting a diversity of coaching styles with him in that room. Coach Lock is our Coach Prime, our "motivator", and we need that! But we also need the "tactitians" like Jim and Chip! And we need the "recruiters" like Hartline...thank you JESUS for Coach Hartline lol 🙌🏿 And we need the just flat out LEGENDS like Larry Johnson 💪🏿 And for what it's worth, our BEST coaches (Larry, Jim, Chip, Hartline) are not even the most "vocal" or "high energy" guys! But what they all have in common is a genuine care for and investment in the development and success of our players, and an unrelenting standard of setting high expectations for them to meet and uphold. Give me that, and I don't care what your voice sounds like, or how much "energy" you have in your press conferences. Our boys will be fine. They will be EXCELLENT this year. They will play with their hair on fire on offense and defense and special teams, and get better and better each week with this tremendous coaching they have at their disposal. And when it comes to BIG TIME games in BIG TIME moments, they will LEAVE NO DOUBT 😤💪🏿 "Knowles sucks. Terrible hire" "Shallow, quiet, ZERO energy coaches... pathetic" "This guy's voice just makes me cringe." "This old clown...Get lost Knowles! You suck!" Ay man...critique his rotations/choice of players/defensive players underperforming all you want, but comments like the ones above are just totally baseless, senseless, and unnecessary. I love my Buckeyes. I love our coaching staff. This team WILL beat Michigan 😤 This team WILL be great 🔥🔥🔥 Whether or not it'll be "2019/2020 great" or "2014 great" is left to be determined... hopefully the latter 🙏🏿 GO BUCKS!

You can't reason with the clowns that come on these videos and comment. The team sucks they will lose 5 games, I've read it all. Silly personal attacks. These people are insecure and projecting their self loathing into young men playing a sport. Not to mention, they act like things are bad when they aren't. It's sad.

how do you know? do you know if they called the plays the same way they would against those teams? do you know if they were 'saving anything'. your statement is weird. if you only judge them against those teams, but yet judge them immediately in the next sentence against not one of those teams.

Simon has had his moments but I don’t recall hearing his name called on the telecast against Marshall . My opinion is that Powers should get more playing time. Style is talented but he doesn’t seem to be in attack mode. He waits for ball carrier come to him. With Mich state having a Mobil QB they better have their breakdown fundamentals ready.

Jim thinks he’s a mad scientist but his defenses have been weak and bad tacklers for last 3 years - scUM will steamroll this same ‘Soft Batch’ of defenders again unfortunately - RB’s Coach Lock needs to light up the Defense too - the only position group playing aggressive football are the RB’s‼️

JTT highest graded DL 74.6, Caden Curry 2nd worst graded DL 56.4. Downs the highest graded defensive player overall 79.4. Ohio State had 7 defensive players grade over 70. Michigan had 6 players grade over 80
